Feb 23 2022: Original post

As a Russian-speaking Ukrainian currently living in Poland, I have a complicated relationship with my home country. I have relatives and friends hailing from Russia; half of my family speaks Russian. Everybody in my school in Kyiv (i.e. Kiev) spoke Russian back in the early 2000s. It is true, there are millions of Russian-speaking Ukrainians. But just so you know, Ukraine is not a part of Russia; it was not created by fucking Lenin. Many Ukrainians have never been and do not want to go to Russia or be its part. The language vs. culture question is absurd. The Russian language was forced upon Ukrainians for centuries, and still, Ukrainians are different culturally. The mad tsar Putin is literally a blackmailer who imposes fear and anxiety on the entire Ukrainian nation. Everyone I know back in Kyiv prepares alarm briefcases with water and medicines, just in case of bombing, or plans to move, as I did after 2014. This is a fucking nightmare. I have anxieties of my own; I cannot stand this shit anymore. Please! This is an awareness thread. You have to know.
Ukraine is not Russia and does not want to be a part of it!

The talk latest weeks have been how Putin doesn't want an open war with west, but they do consider us weak And basically all the threats and escalations are to see how far west can be pushed as Putins dictatorship considers only them to be strong leadership.
Sadly it looks like west is ready to kowtow to any threats from Russia on how they are ready to attack Lithuania over Kaliningrad. So what's the point of putting sanctions on them if again west is ready to say - whatever.. do what you want.

From one point of view - I understand EU and NATO wants to diffuse the situation - but how far is Putin going to continue push if any time that psycho threatens with attacking EU, another sanctions are lifted and exempts provided.

Of course another day another barking from the wounded dog. Finland and Sweden is being threatened .. again. US is threatened again. Russia plays aggressive political games while EU seems to only virtue signal. Russia is still earning more from exports, EU countries are struggling with prices for fuel, gas and food while Russia simply earns more for less and continues to pound Ukraine. China and India does whatever they want, Russia is only technically isolated. What I wonder is - if what I commented earlier comes true (Putin despite results just says they won the war and keeps occupied territories), would EU just say - yeah whatever, keep the land, stop attacking others and life back to normal? Russia continues to fund its military, Ukraine has to rebuild and all of the countries bordering Russia goes back to constant fear of the degenerate next door attacking you any minute?

Despite strong opinions coming from NATO and EU I have a feeling those are empty words. But I do hope Im wrong.

side note : Visited my girlfriend in the beginning of week and we both have Latvian flags inside our cars. She lives nearby the occupation memorial, where all the shit went down after 9th of may celebration. And we had a stone put on each of our cars. Only our two cars. And only both of us had the flags in the window. We figured its due to that (there are cases of windows being smashed by drunk degenerate russians)... I'm just getting sick of all of this. And it looks like even invading a fucking country is not enough to deal with the rabid growth we all have problem with

Russia got kicked off Snake island, they frame it as "goodwill gesture", but the retreat came after massive strikes in the last couple days.

The gesture of goodwill is to enable grain shipments, but tbh. the easiest way would have been to allow those in the first place instead of actively blocking them.

At least 18 people, including one child, have died in overnight Russian missile strikes on Ukraine's southern Odesa region, Ukrainian officials say.
The state emergency service, DSNS, says 16 people were killed and 30 injured when one missile hit a nine-storey building in the Serhiyivka village.
Two more people, including the child, were killed in a separate strike on the village's recreation centre.

Lavrov has stated that there is new iron curtain building between west and russia.
He says there hasn't been any relations between EU and Russia since 2014 (well yeah you cunt, don't invade countries if you want relations with neighbors) and that they will not trust EU or NATO in the future.

They are stating that EU is not interested in "understanding Russia" (kind of hard to understand bombing innocent people) and that USA imposing sanctions is not only trying to weaken Russia but EU as well..

So seems like that double faced moron is trying to pit EU against USA now ... How I hate his ugly face and his pathetic lies.

It may be somewhat "favorable to the Russian government" but still....
Conservatively, half of the economy seems to have been wiped out.
Judging from the downward trend, companies without retained earnings will be soon destroyed ...

This discussion was made before the war started.
Shortly after the war began, the Russian government misused the central bank to manipulate market prices and nationalize private companies. There are still exchanges from that time, so if you've been reading from the beginning, you've noticed.

Still, it seems that Russia's economy can't take it anymore.
Therefore, it seems that they are going out of their way to rewrite the names of the natural resources that they are jointly developing with foreign countries to Russian companies.

There were many refugees from Kiev (February 24-25), but no less from Lviv, Lutsk, Ternopil and other cities of Western Ukraine. There was no fighting there and no shooting, but there were a lot of refugees from there. Moreover, some of them handed over their apartments and left as refugees. I'm not saying that everything, but there have been such cases.

I have nothing against refugees. It's on their conscience, I don't care what they do.
About the second statement. You asked for more details about shooting at cities. It was clarified that some of them left the cities of Western Ukraine, where military operations were not conducted (at most, a rocket was fired at a warehouse or a military target (you can remember about traction substations on the railway, they were not touched for a long time), and even then a week after the start of the operation, after more nearby targets were destroyed). Moreover, they took advantage of the situation and went under the guise of refugees (there was an opportunity and a desire to go, then please). But at the same time, some of them were very cunning and rented their apartments to visitors from Eastern Ukraine, they found out in Europe and very much (who rented their apartments) did not like the receiving side. These people who have rented out their apartments are just difficult to classify as refugees.

As for the refugees, my attitude towards the people is like this. If you want to run, then run, if you don't want to, then don't run. Then get ready to meet those who will come, but how to meet, then let everyone, I emphasize EVERYONE decides for HIMSELF, I won't impose my opinion, and I don't want to, everyone has to decide for himself.
I realized that your question is not about the shooting, but about my message. This is just an indicator that it is not necessary to ask a general question, and others, if clarification is needed, then ask the author.

Actually, the answer is given, it's about the concept of proverbs and sayings, as well as aphorisms.
And so there are and were still Volga Germans, they just understand not only the German language, but also understand humor and the situation in Russian. And so some of the statements will be very clear to some of the inhabitants of the world, but not clear to another part of the inhabitants of the world. Not sure about how Shariy could cause thousands of deaths since 2014. I didn't watch his videos all that time. But watched his live streams starting the conflict (~24th February) and all his intentions was to help people (i.e. find medicine/pills, warned about strikes, etc) For example information about air strikes was available to public, but for some reason local government was not aware of that and that caused deaths. During that time Ukrainian government tried to block his streams for what ever reason.
As Q09066930 said - Shariy release "strange" videos: some of them can enrage one side and some - enrage other side of the conflict (I think that is some sort of definition of blogger today - play on emotions).
My question was about information which Shariy provided - Does European and US media provide full information about conflict? Do they trying to stop it (i.e. provide some info, so people understand what is happening)? (the point of Shariy - no they don't do that, only "Russia/DNR/LNR are evil" news can pop up to support decision to give new/more ammunition to Ukraine)

As for the shellings - check the openly available data on casualties in DNR/LNR over the years, 2014-2021. You will see how much "destruction" there was.

I don't know the correct numbers, but I heard that around 15K people died during that period. At the moment both sides are hiding this information. As far as I know only DNR/LNR provide such information to public - last time I saw it was around 3K people dead.

Even more so, there was ZERO deaths in donbass region before fucking russians invaded in 2014.

Sorry need to ask you who are these "russians" - people of Donbass or people from Russia? Because as far I know OSCE was not able to find any facts of "Russian army" located in Donbass in 2014-2021. As far as I know it was decision of Donbass people (just a reminder - they are Ukrainians, who speak in Russian or/and Ukrainian) to not support new government. All Minsk agreements were about some special status of these territories in Ukraine - they just asked special status, they didn't want to separate from the country. Or I understand all that wrong?

All I can see here - links to wiki which already made guilty Russia. Where the results of international court? Was it postponed to far future or your wiki already have the results? The questions are really simple - I'm not stating anything, I'm just trying to get information from "other side".

you have the same boring arguments, like your fellow troll farm comrades, it's like speaking to the same person over and over again and who really knows, maybe you're all the same person, but maybe you all just use the same protocol synchronized with the narrative of the state-funded media.
I don't think you are really interested in any truth or answer not suiting your propoganda, most likely you just want it to distort it and align it with your state-funded propaganda and this thread isn't a thread about russian matters, as i already explained, but you really seem a bit stupid to not find the way to your RAT (russian awareness thread) and spew your propaganda goo here, where people don't care and are just offended from your BS

And it is very difficult to work without a detection and target designation station (this is a separate machine with a radar), due to the fact that there is a target tracking radar on the installation itself, which is just given by the guidance station. The beam width of this radar is very small. Here you can do without a charger.

And if everyone can edit it, why don't you guys go there and fill it with your propaganda, maybe not that easy, eh?

In Russia, they made it much easier. Wikipedia has ceased to be used as confirmed facts, only as an information resource where there is some information, but it needs to be checked and this result is already put into operation.
About editing. You can go, but those who are ready to defend their point of view and with the support team will immediately rush in, and unless you already attach accurate information about the real state of affairs, the changes will be rolled back, due to unreliability.

No, Wikipedia is viewed as a source of information, but if you take it into account in a dispute, then it will not be accepted if there is no other evidence of correctness.
Well, I don't trust European propaganda, due to the fact that it is even more unreliable, smart does not trust anything, but checks everything. The times when they believed are over, now it's just checking and rechecking. Now the most effective propaganda is one that does not lie, from the word at all, but not necessarily it can tell the whole truth, sometimes part will not tell. But just if you believe only one source, then you will never get the whole truth.

So the Press Freedom Index can be drawn by anyone, it still does not really reflect the current reality.

There are no independent media, if the media in the country do not support that situation (as an option, they are neutral), then they will be closed. Russian-language media in Latvia are closed if they write positively about Russia. So it is not necessary to refer them to the independent media of Russia, it is a foreign agent, and recognized.
And in advance. Earlier, the USA began to demand to write about foreign agents when accounting for media. This is so that there is not the fact that they say only Russia requires this, this is a global practice, and everything was quite liberal in Russia, then when closing in Europe they began to introduce exactly the same requirements.

But at the same time, you yourself reported that your media is not free, but with censorship, because the restriction on the place of release of information, unless it belongs to the category of illegal or as an option for the distribution of narcotic drugs, is not allowed to air. And this is just the first violation of Democracy and Freedom of Speech.

yeah, like LGBTQIA+ going strong in russia, right?

And what freedoms I restrict, they are not restricted in anything, just like other citizens. Equality. Or do you offer to give them more than others? Then why them and not others? If a neighbor tells me that he is gay, then I will not care about it (this is his position and who am I to condemn it) until he climbs up to me, here I will be dissatisfied, but due to the fact that I am NOT gay (and here it is me it concerns and it is necessary to take into account not only his opinion, but also the opponent (me in this case)), and if he asks for a different job, then it usually goes by professional skills, and not by faith, gender and the like.

Or a check comes and asks about the funds that have been received, yes, part from advertising, part from the sale of the publications themselves, part from subscriptions, but part of it is from patrons and so they can ask to write a certain article, like independent, but if you look in more detail, then not anymore.

On June 2, 2014, Kiev committed a cold-blooded murder - a military plane hit the administration building of the Luhansk region. 8 people were killed and 28 were injured. The strike had no military meaning, it was an act of intimidation. That is, ordinary terror.

From this number, the dead can be counted, and it will also be necessary to include some of those who died of natural causes, but who could have been saved if help had been provided on time.

In this case, the first victims are shown and when it is necessary to keep a report. As you can see, the Ukrainian media did not say how many dead, but they were combined into one rounded figure, this is just bad. After all, if you say about a few dozen, then it may be 12 wounded without killed, or maybe 89 killed and 3 wounded. These figures are not very accessible in Europe.

There may be 3 administrations.

  • Civilian.
  • Military.
  • Occupation.

At that time, there was no talk of any military actions and it was a civil administration appointed by elections and approved in Kiev. If these are not ordinary civilians, and they cannot be occupying, then this means military administration, due to the fact that there are no other options anymore. And if it is a military administration, then it is appointed only by the military, but at the same time it is an administration appointed by Kiev, and the main service is sitting on Bank Street in Kiev. So it turns out that the military administration was sent from Bank Street. and only the military can send it.

As for the quantity, this is an indicator that you can't trust anyone. And not everyone takes into account all the terms and coefficients.

Oil is high because its the last chance for nations to get rich off this before the transitions to renewables begin, which you can bet is already in process to eventually be just as expensive as oil production even when it hits mass market.

To me its not a war between nations, its a war on consumers. Why my country has housing prices to match international trends without nearly being its value in construction outlay and expensive cars imported rather than self-assembled with our factories literally shut down to advance imports is all an economic ploy to give elites asset market leverage, to ensure that prices in each nation is regulated for you to be a customer for life, that you never become rich enough to leave the country, you are indebted for life and you can never have enough money to export your capital to foreign national fixed asset markets.

This goes for all salaries as well, the market-related amounts they offer where they tell you what your time and your life is worth to the dollar by all of them. It is why a one-bedroom flat has a rental price double the price of national wage average in my country.

They want people poor, prices high and foreign investors to pay your local cadres and economic thugs at national levels that have interest only to maintain a circle of fewer than 1% of the population involved in ensuring they capture states so the iron grips of asset-flipping and consumer exploitation remains in place. You can talk about Russia but the war globally has always been on the underclass, whether we recognize all of the under-handed tactics that are employed that is implemented across all facets of economy or no. Russia has so much real estate, that is a market they want to tap over the next millennium. Consumers pay tax, levies, import costs, energy costs, market price manipulation, rent to pay the leases of owners and many other things, in the end you have nothing and the asset managers keep everything. Tell me in what world does the poor pay the salary of the rich? This world yes, and its disgusting. I could really talk about this for hours.

They are looking to avoid customs and taxes for cheaper trade smuggling routes from the middle east through Armenia and so forth. Also the reason why Taiwan is also so closely watched to avoid a monopoly on Chinese exports and why Hong Kong was such a democratic mess because traders were just ignoring tax and China has two billion people to look after. Reason why there is war in Israel and Palestine, its not a religious war at all, its an economic war. Capitalism makes the world sick but they make you believe its there for you to win but its not, its for them to win over you and make you selfish and desperate with every cent you earn just so you never gain any meaningful control in their markets.

You must explain to me why my government could not avoid cooking oil price go up because of some problem halfway across the world. My lesson in life is don't love anything, as little as you can, because anything and everything you love about life and this world can and will be monetized and used against you in every conceivable exploitable market avenue. You will have nothing and be happy is probably good advice when its your own choice to rather save. Its a poor message our world sends. But we are all beta's who accept constantly being raped like this because we are dependent and have dependencies.

But I have nothing to lose now anymore, so I'll talk and make people aware of these things. Its not the life they promised us. I'll accept some of us are happy with the world as it is despite these problems there are in the world. Know at least that we are all being taken for a ride beyond your wildest imagination. I almost don't know who to be angry to about it all. Its everyone that's involved by choice and not by necessity. I am done for now.

Not that I don't agree with you - but I have a feeling you spend energy where its simply not necessary. These are widely known facts and I doubt anyone is really surprised by what you mentioned here.

This is literally war between nations and the war on consumers have been going on forever (and of course to some extent it is increased by pretext of war of course).. As with most stuff discussed here - one does not exclude or lessen the other.

More people were murdered here in South Africa in the first three months of this year 2022 than in the eight years of the so-called war in Donbass, but we are not even at war here. The people arguing about propaganda above us must realize this. We don't have a war here in South Africa because they don't care to have one. So screw us basically but people are literally murdering each other out of financial desperation.

The numbers of these wars have always been propped up and over-reported to scare a narrative into billions of gullible and voiceless people. So you all can be know-it-all and smart-alecky on this thread, but your 7000 comment thread of confusion has proved that you are all just as divided as everyone else on here without even coming close to addressing the levers that motion these wars.

If you ever had an opinion yourself or seen a debate, to take a standpoint on a matter means that your opinion has a narrative, therefore a narrative can be scripted, therefore a media narrative can be propaganda. You should not be fighting about this.

At least 6,083 people were murdered in South Africa between January and March 2022. This represents an increase of 22% or 1,107 more people murdered compared to the same period last year. Alarmingly, increases in reports of children and women being murdered have shot up by 37.2% and 70.5% respectively.

Your awareness detracts from the over-arcing issues the world faces which are all rooted in economics, including Ukraine and yes, the Ukraine people are poor and suffering as well. Except now we buy into the reasons, its the war's fault that my rent just doubled, that's how stupid they want you all to be. So where's my awareness then? Sorry we haven't extorted exchange rate and cost-of-living market manipulations in premium first-world currencies long enough to be deemed relevant to society.

The day-to-day movements in this so-called war has little bearing on the levers that actually move the continuation of these wars forward which are all rooted in trade policies, amounts of money not a single one of you can speak to here. A pack of cigarettes cost $6.28 in the USA, but over here it costs in exchange rate terms less than half a dollar.

All these prices for consumer goods, including oil, are not priced at production fees but at what they can make consumers pay for them. And international conglomerates syndicate these prices across the globe regardless of your nation's financial status and well-being, including Ukraine and many nations that suffer from strategic resource shortages exploited by multi-national conglomerates.

Russia might have an interest in getting the price of oil down, but they have many things going against them including media propaganda. There are many poor Russians despite the riches in land they have because their trade is also tied to reserve currencies.

That is why when you are Russian or Chinese and you are an influential businessman or an oligarch, you pay your dues to the Kremlin or the CCP. They make collective business decisions in the interest and well-being of the state. It is those that export wealth capital gains at the expense of their own people that are criminalized by the state.

But in that the onus is on the state to provide what it can for the people through their policies and foreign nationals have vested interests in weakening their trade buying powers.

A part of me is disappointed that they cannot convey these messages better but I know their hands are not also clean because of what they need to do to ensure the stability of their economies as well. We are often told in South Africa our exchange rate is 70% determined by foreign national activity. They literally tell us what our exchange rate must be.

And if we fight back with self-sustainability they just strengthen the currency to ensure we cannot buy critical resources to promote and stimulate internal economic development. We actually own nothing and all our critical assets is in reserve currencies. The Rand, our currency, is literally a denomination to exert control over us with economics. As someone said three pages ago, this is why the Ruble is the 'best-performing' currency in relation to the dollar this year. And then inflation comes from dumb people being exploited by foreign suppliers, from one link of the supply chain to the next, all the way down to the bottom, to consumers, who are segregated from supply chains price influences and have no one to pass inflation on to as suppliers do. Its a total economic power-grab bloodbath and totally counter-productive as a stable progressive economic development model. Maybe next time I can talk more about some of my progressive economic restructuring ideas that I have. At the moment its just one-way traffic to zero-sum zero-gain life-long financial enslavement and you may be apprehensive to my tone but that is not the future I am in for for this planet. Turns out that recessions are actually good for the economy and for fighting inflation but they never last long enough to kill the wolves in the bear market.

Sorry responder, you were actually sort of nice and tried to be fair in your response. I also don't wish to take the topic of discussion away from Ukraine. But while they are continuing to do so, just know that someone from South Africa is also watching the developments as well and urge you not to have a narrow-minded and unproductive approach to these discussions.

Also, the site below, its nice that they have a little flag next to each news article so you can see who generally pushes what narratives. I have probably read over 10000 news articles and 5000 science journals here. Its basically an RSS newsfeed aggregator for all news across the world. They wish they didn't have to use this actually anymore, but media companies tap into the algorithm and associated revenues. But it also means narratives can be pushed harder than what singular independent news agencies can produce effectively.

Check out Newsnow, some people wish this was behind a paywall like their precious article-writing software, a news aggregation website, but its too easy to just replicate of course....
https://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/

Facts, like South African murder stats in comparison to the war in Donbass, facts don't lie. And intention of narratives don't lie as well. Even being confused is also a narrative, maybe not one you're in control of necessarily. But there shouldn't be shame in that. We can all get frustrated when people are confused We're all a narrative. Check out the site below if you haven't seen it already and you can see where all the news comes from.

They have hot topics, and I see they have removed 'War in Ukraine' as a topic, there is now Ukraine news, US/Russia and a few others. Anyways, there are categories and you can search any article by any word without the Google news syndication filters. We have all the information we need. We are just mostly powerless or completely uninformed to process the information effectively and beneficially to our own beneficial narratives, which is of course the ideal outcome for those that control the world's economy.

Apologies - but what are you even on about? Not meant in an offensive way - I seriously am confused what is your point here. Yes - economical situation and everything to do with rising prices is a huge and complicated topic with a lot of moving parts and far away from a simple war (which Id gladly discuss, but outside of this discussion)

What is going around the world and South Africa included is horrible, no doubt. Does it lessen what is being done in UA? Of course not. This is "wHaTaBoUt ......." discussion all over again.
I think you are misunderstanding what is actually going on in Europe. Yes - people here are also arguing about economy and sanctions, but you put it nicely :

We don't have a war here in South Africa

You don't have a war. Russia literally invaded a neighboring country. Started a war with EU friendly country. EU is threatened by this and there have been open threats from Russia towards Baltics, Poland, Scandinavia. Its a huge internal struggle for EU now. Not just economically but military wise as well. I wont act I am aware of everything going on in the international trade as I am engineer not economist, but for me living in country that receives a lot of import from UA and RUS, this has caused a lot of problems. Yes - a lot of prices are speculative, but the economical windfall from the war has stake in it as well. Shame on whoever tries to maximize their profit from the war, but that really is different problem altogether.

Also don't forget a lot of people here are literally living a days drive away from war. Neighboring countries are very active in keeping support and communication open with UA. We know a lot of stuff from internal sources and from people who literally have been to frontline. And yes - there are a lot of people like that. This is discussion for awareness for the poor UA citizens who have been forced out from their homes by unprovoked war. An awareness for absolute violation of human rights and truthful journalism from Russia's side.

So despite all the dirty political and economical games going beneath the surface, what this all is about is bringing attention to war crimes of Russia and to deter something like that happening to Baltics for example. You are bringing up fine points - but don't say people are being narrow minded - these are two absolutely different problems that can be tackled separately.

For example the company that provides heating in Latvias capital city in the beginning of war proclaimed that people have to start saving money to be able to pay for heating in the next winter as gas prices increase. But at the same time they are constantly having record huge profits. IMO those people could be publicly hanged for using the situation to increase profit... But how does that in any way affect the war? A literal fucking war, an invasion and bombings of cities in Europe?

PS. thanks for the newsnow link. pretty cool site

I meant to say we don't have a war because it is not labelled as such, but it's more a war here by war standards than what is going on there than in Ukraine. I also think it is irresponsible to rally unarmed civilians into fighting back against heavily-armed forces in open conflict. They should either take decisive military action or do their due diligence to get to the negotiating table for the sake of the people.

My brother got stabbed and robbed at the subway two blocks from my house for example. 6000 murders in three months is much worse in comparison to 4000 in eight years. Yet the reasons people dying are exactly from the same causes, economics. And the fallout of economic failures wear many dresses, in your case a war in Ukraine. For me its don't walk outside at night or get stabbed by gangs that roam the streets. I am providing information as to why you are warring and where you can look to fix it because we also suffer because of this here. These figures were implied to this point. I can easily call on one hundred nations being affected worse by the war on Ukraine than the people of Ukraine, that is awareness.

Maybe the awareness some people are looking for is that people will come running with their machine guns when someone presses the panic button when things get rougher. My awareness is that people must find a way to stop fighting for the economics incentives war offer because of all the hierarchical global financial models we have in place. We already are struggling to make income for basic life necessities without the challenges these international wars bring, the market-price exploitations across borders and the million other people that live around me that are all hungry and can be driven to violence with our 50% unemployment rate.

Last year two million people rioted in one city over economic poverty in one day in South Africa. They targeted businesses as we dealt from the economic fallout of COVID lockdown. But if they come for our homes I cannot defend against two million people. It's a commentary on the state of society and an ominous pre-cursor of what could happen in future if people start suffering too much:
https://www.news24.com/news24/southafrica/news/zuma-unrest-katlehong-residents-fear-job-losses-as-looting-continues-unabated-20210712

While I appreciate your point of view and well-thought opinion, it is obvious that we, as people, are bound to our experiences that influence how we perceive certain things. It is not the economic model that is the problem. It is the misuse of it. Soviet's communism took Marxism and exploited its beautiful ideas to turn people into hostages of the system, without free will or ability to make decisions, and to turn chosen few who belonged to the Party to the caste of almighty. Capitalism in South Africa became something of a similar issue, I guess. It didn't turn South Africa into Denmark, where capitalism in the form of the Nordic model works for the good of the people; it made corporations to become almighty and people to remain poor. That is why, in my opinion, the economic model alone is not the solution. It is the willingness and capacity of the people to control it and to use it for the benefit of the country and the world. Of course, that means some layers to the problem: 1) how to maintain control that is fair, self-sustainable, and exploit resistant, and 2) how to remain in a non-zero sum paradigm that offers optimal solution for all parties (the country and the world). For all of it to work, people should be well-educated first: not only in the basic stuff, but also in politics, economics, sociology, philosophy, and so on. The rights should be respected, and the basic needs fulfilled. Also, the political system should be void of corruption. All those things are hard to achieve, that is why it takes a lot of time for positive changes in societies. In my opinion, Ukraine was on the right track, but Russia denied it for its own benefit. I cannot say what is good for South Africa, and it certainly has not the same roadmap as post-USSR countries have, but that is exactly my point - experiences always differ even if some phenomena are global.

The DPR reported a missile strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine from HIMARS systems on the city of Snezhnoye

Moscow. July 4th. INTERFAX.RU - The Ukrainian army used the American HIMARS MLRS to strike at the rear town of Snezhnoye in the DPR, the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime (JCCC) of the Donetsk People's Republic reported.

"According to military experts of the DPR JCCC task force, while in their positions near the locality of Konstantinovka, the enemy launched missiles from the M142 HIMARS MLRS supplied to the Armed Forces by NATO countries in the city of Snezhnoye," the press service of the DPR JCCC said in a statement on Monday.

At the end of June, the LPR representative office in SUSK reported that the Ukrainian military opened fire on the territory of the republic using HIMARS MLRS.

And if about the island.
https://www.interfax.ru/world/849670
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the voluntary withdrawal of the military from the Ukrainian island of Zmeiny
Moscow. June 30. INTERFAX.RU - The Russian military withdrew from the island of Zmeiny as a demonstration that Russia does not prevent the export of grain and agricultural products from Ukraine, said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Igor Konashenkov.

"On June 30, as a step of goodwill, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation completed the fulfillment of their tasks on Zmeiny Island and withdrew the garrison there," Konashenkov said at a briefing on Thursday.

"Thus, it has been demonstrated to the world community that the Russian Federation does not hinder the efforts of the UN to organize a humanitarian corridor for the export of agricultural products from the territory of Ukraine," the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said.

According to him, this decision "will not allow Kiev to speculate on the impending food crisis, referring to the impossibility of exporting grain due to Russia's total control of the northwestern part of the Black Sea."

"Now it's up to the Ukrainian side, which has not yet cleared the Black Sea coast off its shores, including the port waters," Konashenkov said.

On June 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the hysteria around the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea ports is artificially inflated, Russia is ready to ensure the free passage of grain ships.

"The hysteria about the termination of transportation, say, through the Black Sea ports, is artificially inflated," Putin said, speaking at the BRICS Plus meeting in the format of a videoconference attended by the leaders of a number of invited states.

"I have already publicly stated many times and I want to emphasize once again that Russia does not prevent the export of Ukrainian grain from the territory of this country and is ready to ensure the free passage of grain ships into international waters, if, of course, the Ukrainian military de-mines the shipping ports and the nearby water area," the head of state said.

Putin added: "Moreover, we have a corresponding understanding with representatives of the UN secretariat, but one thing is still missing - a constructive approach from the Kiev authorities today."

Ukrainian flag raised on Zmiyiny Island – task force
https://en.interfax.com.ua/news/general/843515.html

Reality. The flag was simply thrown to the ground. https://edition.cnn.com/europe/live-news/russia-ukraine-war-news-07-04-22/h_f95c97234e89924d0f434cf03f525fa9
That's why there were no clarifications, and after the messages I had to make this refutation.

It would have sounded like "The Ukrainian flag was delivered to the island of Zmeiny – task force."

She also explained that her remarks about the flag being raised should be “understood metaphorically.”

"No one landed on the island. So who will install it, stick it in, raise it?,” she said. “And no one will risk people for the sake of a photo for the media.”

not to mention it was finally raised, but see latest news

It was not possible to write this earlier, due to blocking. But it had to be added due to the fact that Interfax journalists of Ukraine gave out wishful thinking, and some European media printed it without checking, in connection with which there was then this clarification about the real state of affairs.
But about the delivery of the flag (throwing it off) this is a separate conversation and there is nothing but bad words there.

Which question do you want to get an answer to. Ask your question.
I have indicated the reason why I completed your message so late.
Moreover, if the Western media write the truth (it does not always happen completely), then there are no questions to them, here if there is a check and they do not write outright lies, then there are no questions. In this case, there is a link to CNN, which just got the truth, which you added in this message https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/aN9ne3o but which was not in the original message.
Or you want to talk about fairy tales ("The Hunchback Horse", "The Tale of the Goldfish", as an option), so start the discussion, but not in this topic. We need to create a separate one.

The idea of punishing a country that has one of the largest nuclear potentials is absurd. And potentially poses a threat to the existence of humanity

Basically - "yeah we did it all but we are above the law because we have nuclear weapons"... I didn't want to answer that message because it was just stupid. But the PBK was taken down for spreading propaganda.
And the owner was charged for criminal offences against country for not adhering to sanctions set by EU. Everything nice and fine.

I'd agree to a point that maybe outright banning propaganda channels wasn't the best approach, there where perfectly fine reasons for doing so. If the channel is spreading absolute bullshit lies then we don't need it. Every other media has been left untouched. If Russia can censor any news from outside world, I don't see why we can't retaliate.

Russia did not start this media war first. Medusa broadcast until February 2022, only in the first days of March (possibly in the last days of February) it was stopped broadcasting, and only the channel and without making accusations against the management.
And if the correspondence with the created message, then those living in Russia do not care that they bought 2 howitzers. They somehow don't care about this, here only the price surprised the purchase of 120,000 for 1 piece, at its price of several million, I won't say for sure, because I just don't know.

and i already said, it was obviously left behind, why don't they captured it, man, you're playing the dumb now, you're the one usually talking about military technology, even if not asked about it, i think you can figure out enough reasons, why they destroyed it.
Or did you just sensed your opportunity to inflate the branch further and talk extensively about the reasons?

Why don't we talk about the solid ruins, which are a familiar trace of the 'Russian world

No, it's just that this news agency is noticed in exaggerating what was in reality. As you can see now, the European media did not write about the 30 destroyed units of military equipment, but only about the operation and the raising of the flag. But about the fact that the flag was hung, I will not argue here, it is there. And so there are American photos of the island of Maxar Technologies on which there are no Russian troops, that's the question - "What can be destroyed if it's not there?"

Ukrainian MFA reminds Lavrov about publication of confidential correspondence of Maas and Le Drian by Russia

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

In that case, the correspondence between France and Germany was published, and if this confidential information became public, then there is a problem for those who provided it and made it possible for other persons to find out this correspondence.
But Lavrov's statement is already being claimed for correspondence between France and Russia and Russia is one of the parties to the negotiations (which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko forgot to add about), which just shows that one should have a conscience and not make declarations without the consent of all parties.

In short, the French acted like idiots, it was necessary through Germany (Austria, Belgium, here the country goes to choose) to lay it out, then it would only be a conversation about the leak of the negotiations themselves, and not about the negotiations themselves.

so you're mentioning double standars here
for me violations of diplomatic ethics are violations of diplomatic ethics, it doesn't matter, where the information came from, the one who leaks it breaks the ethics

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I am also against violating business ethics when publishing correspondence, but in one case the correspondence was published by a party that did not participate, but in another case it was already accepted. And here, if the party to which this correspondence has become available, but which did not take part, can act as it will be beneficial to her, then this does not pass through business correspondence.
Everyone knew that Macron was holding telephone talks with Putin (it was not a secret), but just the contents of these talks are a secret.
As I noted a little above, then the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine got into the wrong business, here when their country published this correspondence, then it is possible to respond to this statement of Lavrov and even no one would say bad about it (would take for granted), to make such a statement, but to the statement of the minister The Foreign Affairs of Russia and this correspondence between Russia and France is no longer suitable.
And so part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of other countries will already be thinking about whether it is worth negotiating (High-ranking officials make their wishes about negotiations, but the ministries discuss the time and duration of negotiations), suddenly negotiations between Macron and Karl Nehammer (as an option, this politician) will become available to everyone.

It wouldn't really matter. UK wouldn't want to go against the majority of EU even if they are not part of it anymore.
It would lend them quit a backlash IMO. The new PM wouldn't want to start their term with going against what in western world is considered the right thing.

Same as if Putin would leave his presidency. There is absolutely no chance of someone taking over and going against what has been done. I think such analogy here is apt.

A little wrong, they want to completely reset the government with a change of many things.
While this was being discussed, new clarifications appeared (This is on 17.03).

Former Prime Minister Sir John Major has written to the chairman of the Conservative's backbench 1922 committee warning it is "unwise" for Boris Johnson to remain in office while his successor is chosen.
If Johnson stays at No 10 Major says he will still have the power to "make decisions which will affect the lives of those within all four nations" of the UK and further afield.
While some argue that Johnson's cabinet will "restrain" him, Major adds, that the PM's previous cabinet "did not - or could not - do so".
Major suggests an interim PM, like Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab, or a streamlined election process would be "in the national interest".
"For the overall wellbeing of the country, Mr Johnson should not remain in Downing Street... for any longer than necessary to effect the smooth transition of government," Major writes.

Dominic Raab will not run for Conservative Party leadership
Deputy PM Dominic Raab will not run to be the next leader of the Conservative Party, the BBC understands.

Russia seems to be happy about this in relation to Ukraine..
Some fascinating comments by elite :

"The moral of the story is: do not seek to destroy Russia," Zakharova said. "Russia cannot be destroyed. You can break your teeth on it - and then choke on them."
__
Russian tycoon Oleg Deripaska said on Telegram that it was an "inglorious end" for a "stupid clown" whose conscience would be blighted by "tens of thousands of lives in this senseless conflict in Ukraine".

Just another case where these clowns open their mouths and trump previously stated stupid stuff. I especially love that Deripaska statement is more appropriate for Putin than Johnson. Although the ending could be quite glorious in a sense everyone would just love and rejoice in the news of such end.

It is what it is, and UK will not change their view regarding Ukraine/Russia, when they have a new prime minister. It's Johnson himself who kicked himself out, because of his misbehaviour. Russia didn't have to do anything with it. That's the difference between Putin and Johnson, Putin can poison or kill anyone he wants and doesn't get punished for his misbehaviour, Johnson just needs to party hard during hard times and his people already get enough of him.
