Despite the intense fire, the fragments of Himars collected by the Russians are not even burned. The images also show that there is no crater in the warehouse, which means there is no Himars strike involved.

Zaporizhzhia nuclear workers: We're kept at gunpoint by Russians

Staff at the occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant have described to the BBC being kept at gunpoint while Russian troops use it as a military base.
Invading forces have occupied the site, the biggest nuclear plant in Europe, since early March. However, it's still operated by Ukrainian technicians.
Russia is accused of basing about 500 soldiers there.
"They positioned their military equipment right at the station buildings, to make it impossible for Ukrainian armed forces to strike."
Ukraine is concerned Russia has started shelling the area it occupies to try to create a false narrative, such as: "Ukraine is attacking you - so better vote to join Russia so we can take root and protect you."
Moscow-installed politicians for the Zaporizhzhia region have just signed an order for a referendum to be held soon.

"Now, more and more often, staff are kidnapped just when leaving the shift at the security gate."
it would take "two to three" months for the Russians to re-direct power back to their own grid, if that was their goal.

The threat of a nuclear catastrophe is not enough to make people forget that the Russian referendums are rigged.
If the Russians manage to redirect the electricity to their own grid, that would count as absolute proof that the Russians are fucking thieves.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11105549/Does-video-PROVE-Russia-attacking-Europes-largest-nuclear-plant.html
In a video footage recorded inside the occupied Zaporizhzhia power station, you can hear mortars being fired at close range. The video captures what seems to be sound of mortar firing, then exploding a second after. The mortars must therefore be shooting from close by, and must be Russian since Putin's men control territory around the plant. The russian troops occupying the plant had all disappeared into bunkers shortly before the mortars opened fire while leaving the Ukrainian workers they are holding hostage above ground, in further evidence that Moscow is to blame.
The mortars are being fired at power lines to disconnect plant from Ukraine. Severing the last power line would cause a power cut to the reactors. That would mean the plant's cooling system would have to run off diesel generators, which only have enough fuel for two weeks. Once that fuel runs out, the Russians or the Ukrainian workers they are holding hostage would need to manually pump water through cooling tanks to keep the reactors stable. Failure to do that could cause a meltdown.

If that is the truth and they truly are shooting at the plant themselves..... why? ... that has to be a deliberate decision with some reasoning behind it .. Boggles the mind. Are they going for another false flag? Try to sabotage the plant and try to pin it on UA?

Yeah.. and if they sabotage it themselves they could say - evil Ukrainians shot at nuclear plant wanting to destroy the world ..... or something along the lines

Well, hopefully we get actual demilitarization around the plant... This is getting ridiculous .. Russians are truly trying to clutch at straws now that they are feeling the damage .. especially after hits at Crimea

Why? Because:

  • Threat of a nuclear catastrophe aimed at terrorizing the Ukrainian people.
  • To reduce Ukraine's electricity supply, maybe even connect the nuclear power plant to the Russian power grid.
  • The Ukrainians cannot strike back, to avoid damaging the nuclear power plant.
  • The Russians want to create a false narrative, such as: "Ukraine is attacking you - so better vote to join Russia so we can take root and protect you." To say after their rigged referendums something like: "Our referendums are not rigged, people voted to join Russia to protect themselves from Ukrainians".

Russian forces retreating in southern Ukraine after third key bridge destroyed, Ukrainian military says

Russian forces are evacuating to the left bank of the Dnipro River in the southern Kherson region after Ukrainian strikes made a third key bridge in the area impassable, Ukrainian officials said.
“We are watching how the leadership of the Russian forces uses the remains of transport routes to evacuate to the left bank of Dnipro in order to feel safe," Ukrainian military spokesperson Natalia Humeniuk told the country's media on Sunday.
The destruction of the three bridges — including the Kakhovka bridge this weekend — has impeded the movement of heavy military equipment and the supply of ammunition to the Russians on the right bank of the river, making it ''extremely complicated to the point of being impossible,'' she added.

For now, it is only the headquarters of the Russian command. Once the Russian soldiers run out of ammunition, they will have no choice but to leave their positions as well.

Today, another Russian 'accident' in an ammunition depot in annexed Crimea:

At least 2 injured in explosion at Crimea ammunition depot, Russian official says

An explosion at an ammunition depot in annexed Crimea injured at least two people on Tuesday, the head of the Russian-controlled Crimea administration Sergei Aksyonov said on his Telegram channel.
Aksyonov said the explosion in the village of Maiskoye, near the town of Dzhankoi, was caused by a fire, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense. Detonations were ongoing, he added.
“The evacuation of residents is underway, people are taken out of the five-kilometer zone from the incident to ensure safety. The forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Russian Guard, emergency services are involved,” Aksyonov said.
Earlier on Tuesday, Russian state news agency Ria Novosti said about 2,000 residents had been evacuated.
What Ukraine says: Kyiv has not claimed any responsibility for the incident, but commenting on the explosions on Twitter, Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhaylo Podolyak said it was "demilitarization in action."

Russian defence ministry blames 'fire'

Russia’s Ministry of Defence has released a statement regarding today's blasts in Crimea, saying "a fire" occurred in the area.
Here's their full statement (translated by us):
"On 16 August at 06:15 Moscow time, a fire took place in the Maysky area in the Dzhankoi district of Crimea on the territory of a temporary ammunition storage site at a military base."
"As a result of the fire, there was a detonation of the ammunition stored. According to initial reports from the scene, there were no serious injuries. Measures are being taken to extinguish the fire. The causes are being established.""

Again, the Russians do not blame the Ukrainians for the 'accidents' in Crimea. Why?
They fear it will give hope to the people under Russian occupation, because hope means more resistance and more partisans. The Ukrainian army is one thing but the Russians are also afraid of the local resistance, they cannot hold their position if they face attacks from all sides.

Putin Agrees to Send Experts to Zaporizhzhia Plant Amid Fears Of Shutdown

The office of French President Emmanuel Macron said that it has reached a verbal agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin to deploy International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) experts to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant to prevent potential catastrophe.
The technical details and timeline of the deployment were intended to be discussed by the two presidents "in the next few days," Macron's office said.

A visit to the facility could take place in September, a Russian diplomat has said. LINK

Car bomb kills daughter of 'spiritual guide' to Putin's Ukraine invasion
Her father was probably the target. Alexander Dugin is a far-right Russian author and ideologue, credited with being the architect or "spiritual guide" to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. He is purported to have significant influence over Russian President Vladimir Putin and is frequently described as "Putin's Brain."

A video on Twitter showing Alexander Dugin witnessing the death of his daughter. The video may be deleted later

We don't know who did it. I hope it was some internal Russia matter, not action organized by Ukraine. Attacking military base on Crimea is one thing, another is killing civilian on a motorway, where many innocent people could be hurt or killed.

And I'd very much have people either stay in Russia, banned from international travel; or in front of some international tribunal if needed. Not blown up in terrorist attacks. It only makes Putin politics supporters even more sure that western is bad and attack on Ukraine was justified.

I find this story all a bit hard to believe to be honest. That at the last moment her dad decided to not take his own car but conveniently he stood there for a video. He didn't even ran to the car to see if he could help her. It just looks staged to me. Maybe she isn't even dead.

If the attack from the Ukraine, then they should have done it a different way. There could have been an innocent civilian nearby. But her and her father are far from innocent civilians. They are known as nazis who want to take over Europe. Her dad is supposedly a big part of the "brain" for the invasion of Ukraine. So I won't say they are just civilians, more like "victims" off the war they started and promoted.

Of course I would rather see them in The Hague international court, but that will never happen. Death isn't a punishment, life long in jail is.

This is all pure speculation of course, we will never know what really happened..
That being said, I am against all sorts of violence. But I do believe the world would be better place if truly evil people wouldn't be in it.

Imo sounds too far-fetched but who knows.

Ed.2. Russian 'National Republican Army' (the hell is that?) claimed responsibility for this killing.

Ed.3. Ad expected, FSB already found a culprit. Just in one day! FSB said that the suspect, Natalya Vovk (Ukrainian citizen), arrived in Russia in July with her 12-year-old daughter and rented an apartment in the building where Dugina lived to shadow her. The agency said that Vovk and her daughter left Russia for Estonia after Dugina’s killing, using a different vehicle license plate on their way out of the country.

Nah, they are calling the war a failure for multiple reasons. One reason why they might be allowed to do so ...

Such voices—many urging the Kremlin to become more aggressive in Ukraine—could lay the groundwork for a military draft, which Mr. Putin so far has avoided, according to analysts.
“A lot of these commentators complain that the Russian government doesn’t go far enough,” said Rob Lee, a senior fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. “If Putin decides to escalate the war, they will support it, they would be happy with that. In that regard, they would be useful to the government.”

Japan Is (Again) Becoming a Military Powerhouse

I guess my opinion on the video is "nonsense"....┐(´Θ`)┌
If you are asking if this is directly related to Ukraine, I don't think so.
I will foreshadow the parts that are not relevant to the discussion.
(Thoughts on the video)

To begin with, Japan has no "ammunition" for the total amount of equipment of the Self-Defense Forces due to the convenience of the United States, which "hunted swords from Japan" (disarmament).

Since it is not a gun society, there is only a small amount of ammunition for a limited number of hunting rifles.

As far as Ukraine is concerned, the stockpiles of "Javelins" and "Stingers" were like ammunition supplies sent from the U.S. to Taiwan and Japan in case of emergency. The sudden change in the situation in Ukraine was not fully addressed by all member states of the UN, and a third of the US stockpile was shipped out to Ukraine in mid-April.

Currently, the U.S. and its allies are jointly placing production orders for such equipment, but supply is not keeping up with demand, and even at the limit of production capacity, there is not enough to meet the demand.

When the events in the Ukraine area become prolonged, the shortage of ammunition will be compensated by weapons of mass destruction. Whether the time comes for the earth to turn into a potato or not, the countries that think they are "out of the picture" will be urged to prepare in the direction of Ukraine, Taiwan, and Japan in order to set things right and not provoke further warfare.
In my personal opinion, we will not lose in the current situation, but the earth will be a potato. There is not enough ammunition on the front line.

I do see it as pretty darn accurate video and how Russia's antics in Ukraine are having ripple effects in Japan's populace same as it has in Finland and Sweden.
Whether you want to see it or not the Japanese Self Defense Force is in fact becoming a regular army if it isn't already all but in name....
Look at Japan's Aircraft Carriers.. That's what they are just not in name, very creative of them.

Also you must make a difference between gun society and army...
EU is not a gun society too. There is society and there is the army.

US' power is waning fast mainly due to China's rise. My opinion is that if you decide to rely on the good old US to be there for you, you are going to wake up one day being under Chinese sphere of influence.
It is smart of Japan to look at ways to take care of itself because if you don't, you are going to end up being in the same boat as Ukraine.

Your point on Weapons of Mass Destruction going to take the place of conventional weapons in case of a shortage of ammunition is WTF.
Russia saber rattles a lot but wont use WMD's unless it is threatened itself which is why US is sending enough help to stop Russia from taking over but not enough to give Ukraine the means to kick Russia out. Making Russia bleed over a prolonged time is in the best interest of the US.

Just have a look at WW1, an issue between Austria-Hungary and Serbia and how in the end England got sucked in and then come to tell me that what is going on in Japan isn't related to Ukraine.

There are too many discrepancies between the video and the current situation....

You rate Japanese equipment as good....
There are many pitfalls.

Japan is a country that functions under the rule of "exclusive defense.
As a practical matter, it does not have a single long-range missile capable of striking another country.
Furthermore, we do not have bombers.
Even if a hypothetical enemy country were to fire missiles at us, we would not have the means to attack it.

It is said that the stock of conventional ammunition will run out in three minutes when all the equipment is loaded with ammunition and fired continuously.
The ruling party now claims to have 1,000 missiles ready, but such a thing would have to be launched in large numbers at the same time to break the opponent's air defenses.
The numbers are only valid if you are the first attacker; the defender needs more bullets and firing points.
Unlike Ukraine, the land is very small.
Even if they are to be used after the other side fires first, a fixed base may make it impossible to fire them in a first strike, and even the ruling party's sense of urgency is at that level.
The plan to deploy "ground-based Aegis Ashore" was also abandoned a few years ago.
(There are rumors of defects and cost issues, but in Japan, opposition to the deployment of missiles for self-defense purposes is massive.)

The reality is that Japan will not be able to deploy these missiles in time.
Without ammunition, even its minimal defense would be in jeopardy, but Japan has its hands full supplying Ukraine and will continue to rely on the U.S. policy in the event of an emergency now, if not in the next few years.
It seems that the image of Japan that the U.S. desires is in the form of "wartime logistical support" has not changed since the old days.
I argued that within that range, we could consider it workable and we would not lose.
However, I believe that the audience understood that Japan does not have the decisive power to settle the war.

But the ruling party is in the middle of a "cult" scandal with a prime minister infected with corona.
This is due to the assassination of a former prime minister who had pledged to strengthen the defense force in a video.
Realistic people will probably not vote for an individual cult politician.
I would prefer it if that were the case, but the cloud is not hanging over the possibility of the most unremarkable and US-hating opposition party becoming the ruling party due to political distrust.

That is the reality of Japan.
I hope I have answered your question.
Since this is a forum for discussion of Ukraine, I will leave Japan out of the discussion.

It will soon be Ukraine's Independence Day.
I wish good news for Ukraine.( *・Θ・)σ🎆🎂🎆

The FSB is expected to organize a series of terrorist acts in Russian cities with mass civilian casualties.
