Do you think it looks good?

Hell yeah
Nope

This looks gorgeous and the setting reminds me a bit of Oddworld Abe's Oddysee plus sexual content. :D lol
Nah, I'm not gonna try it anytime soon, but it's really an interesting find and surprisingly it's also free.
Thanks for the tip. ;)

[FREE]

Mm. Given how that tag is typically associated with temporarily free games rather than permanently free ones, it may be better to swap that out with something else, to avoid confusion. Well, you did put this in General, which gives us proper context in and of itself, but it's still easy to mistake at a quick glance. ^.^

Burning Daylight

Dystopia-themed platformers seem to be a steady trend these days.
..and I'm okay with that. :)

That said, I'm mostly just looking forward to Trine 4 coming out, as far as platformers go. ^.^
..pretty sure that's not going to be dystopian-themed, however.
..though that does seem as though it'd be a rather appealing twist to the Trine formula. :P

Well, do you have a good idea to change free? I can change it if it is possible :)

I really loved trine 1 and 2, but sadly not 3. 4 looks like something between them and i am waiting for it as well.

How about [PERMANENTLY FREE] or [ALWAYS FREE]?

Edit: Like KlappPc said, free to play is better

(Free-to-Play) or (Permanently Free) would perhaps be the most intuitive options?
I'm fond of ($0), myself, but I'm not sure it'd be the most intuitive for general use.
I've seen (Always Free) used, as well. Also, best to avoid caps, since there's no urgency for permanently free games.

Trine 3 is good, if you reinterpret it as being Trine 0 (ie, something to play before you play Trine 1).
It's an adequate, though not especially great, co-op platformer, that would likely have gotten reasonably tolerable review considerations if it had been an initial release. As the third in the series, though, coming across with complexity and polish less than that of the first game was.. Well, it's understandable why there was such strong disappointment over the game for those who went into it without clear understanding of its limitations, and who instead expected something that built off the first two games rather than falling behind them.

It's been a while and several games since Trine 3 released. I imagine they've put proper consideration into Trine 4 and, so far, the teasers suggest it's a proper sequel and evolution of Trine 2. There's enough there that we can have a reasonable hope of finally getting to properly scratch that Trine itch again. ^.^

Haven't tried it yet, but this reminds me of Limbo and INSIDE, so I'm definitely going to give it a shot. Thanks!

Looks great. Why free tho? A game with such a polished look should be able to attract buyers.

Why free tho? A game with such a polished look should be able to attract buyers.

It's fairly common that games clocking in under 2 hours are released as freebies, since the marketing value of getting the game out to as many people as possible tends to make up for what little they could gain by charging the couple of dollars that people'd feel comfortable paying for such short length. A strong enough consumer response could help the team get backing for making a more complete version of the game or developing a future project, regardless of if they're aiming for crowdfunding or more formal backing.

That's all the more true for student projects, which tend to have even more value in getting good exposure. As a student project with an estimated 40 minute run-time, it's not at all surprising that this was released for free. All the more so given that student projects typically utilize the resources of a school and its faculty (and the trailer for this game expressly does list quite a few such credits at its end), and the students may thus not actually have the legal rights to list the game for commercial sale.
On a related note, there are plenty of other appealing freebies available on Steam [and elsewhere], if you're ever curious enough to look for them (and don't mind their trend toward short playtimes) ^.^

tl;dr version: It's very short and not made by a dedicated development team.
