lol, not really. These were quite common back in the day by lots of kids of all walks of life in the USA. I've never really seen anyone get angry over them, they were just back and forth jokes to each other to make everyone laugh.

Well, I am probably biased about these kind of jokes because of personal reasons. I still don't get very angry about them but I do think these kind of jokes are in bad taste. I don't really know why "ghetto thing" would be a wrong term. I really don't mean it insulting, my apologies if it sounds like that. With "ghetto thing" I just mean a lower class of people (dumb people). I simply can't see how a healthy thinking person can possible find a "yo mamma joke" funny.
