Are you not frustrating those who are trying to give more than they receive?
I do not qualify, I simply think that a good way to reward the generous is to make a lvl9? lvl10? giveaway

I'm adding people who give more than they receive in terms of real value.
But yeah another good way to do it would be a higher level GA and I will probably do that when I reach a higher level but until then I will try to WL people who should be getting a better chance at some games.
Also having a higher level does not eliminate someone from being a hoarder or from receiving a significant amount more than they have put in. The chances are lower yes, but they still exist. This way I'm adding any level for WL only no level restriction GA's with a much higher chance of actually winning something.

And when they do, their leeching can be amazing. Having a .8 ratio with 100CV won means you've won a single game over a balanced ratio, and means very little. Having a .8 ratio with 10000CV won means $2000 of games over a balanced ratio, easily matching to the wins of many of the leechers who have never given away a single game. In the end, the differences between the two types of user is just a matter of nuance- especially as those higher level users seem more likely on average to have 18,000 game libraries than the lower level users. Finally, those high level users are often the core accounts for multi-accounters, who utilize those low level leech accounts to begin with.
In sum, neither level nor ratio alone act as good indications of temperament or giveaway habits, unfortunately.

I suppose at least WLing means I can make a judgement on each persons account rather than just doing a blanket level 10 GA or something.
Maybe next time i open my WL Ill make it so you have to have give a certain value of games away AND have a good ratio in order to be added...?

You dont have to be lvl9 to make lvl9 giveaway.
But yes, a lvl4 person could be on the generous side of the equation.
I just wanted to make fun of the fact that you are giving them something ruins their generosity ratio. :D

(although the majority of the people I've been adding have not been low level so ratio's wont be broken)

If you didn't see this discussion the first or second time around, to cut a long story short I'm basically giving some of the more generous people on Steamgifts a better chance at winning some games! I recently cut my WL down in size to remove inactive users and people who had won a lot of games since I started up this whitelist thing and it would be great to fill it back up with some more generous SG users!!! :D
All you need to do to qualify for my whitelist is comment "Don't Panic"! below and also have a Real CV (contributer value) higher than Real RV (received value). You can find the real value by hovering over the $ numbers that appear on your profile. It's not a requirement but if you want to add me to your WL to say thanks it's appreciated!
Don't expect top of the range brand new AAA games, I tend to do GA's of spares from bundles and sometimes I have a few others lying around that I won't use myself.
Last time around I stopped at 200, this time it's going to be 250 and after that I will probably close for quite a while. Also it might take a while for me to get around to adding you all but it's first come first in the WL so good luck! :D
