With SG2.0 we got the "have" and "want" fields. I thought about optimizing the system:
It would be cool if you not just add the games to the list but the Steamid of that game (maybe even with a direct link to the storepage). It could also work like in the poll question so that you don't have to find the id of the game by yourself (but that dosn't has to be).
With that info it would be very easy to find the right game.
You could even add an option like "tradematcher" to find people that have a game you have AND a game you like to have.

and here is your giveaway:

I only rarely utilize SteamTrades but the times I have, I would have loved to use the "tradematcher" concept.

That is basically how http://barter.vg/ works.
It would be nice to see that system on SG, because there are many more traders here (and also barter.vg is kinda ugly).
I guess the main concern would be server load, with all the users here it would probably be heavy on the servers

ah never sah that side...
there is a website that help you find duplicate cards on steam http://www.steamtradematcher.com/
i thought about something like this

i also don't think, that it would be so server intense because the data is not soooo big i think

The server load will be big. It is not about the size of the files but the number of requests and operations.

okay, then maybe no tradematching system but even a search for a game by steamid would be great. for example, i search for game called "spirits" and i find a lot of people that want to trade 99 spirits. i wanted to trade company of heroes and find a lot of people that searched for company of heroes 2 or even a game with company in the name and a total other game with heroes and of in the name...

If you have a game like "love" or "hate" or somthing like that you find so much results, that you don't even try to check them out ^^

yeah I just found out barter and I love that it matches games
I had stumbled upon it another times, but didn't bother registering because it looked so ugly, like you said xD
But I really love that system, especially for trading less interesting games - you know, trading bundle fodder around xD

on one hand - yeah, it's cool - but what if you have non-steam keys for trade? Like Origin/Uplay/Battle.net keys? And what with steam keys for game removed from store? You cannot paste store ID for them to your trade feed.

maybe you could add them seperated. the same goes for tf-keys and stuff.
this would just be a feature and not delete the normal textfield (like right now, where you have your have and want and the normal text)

It would be really useful for specific games; the search function only uses titles, and there's no way you can put every game in there unless you have very few of them.
