Just comunicate with support and provide them a SS of your vote, and they will give u a key, it worked for me :D

My guess is that you guys had GMG accounts prior to the giveaway like I, and many others that posted in this long thread at Playfire that couldn't get it to work. Meanwhile, if you didn't have accounts at any of them, it all worked out perfectly, and you got your key within ten minutes of starting the whole process (which is what I resorted to doing towards the end of the giveaway). GMG has been really trying hard to get new users, but doesn't give a crap about current ones. I sent a ticket, but due to how that worked out, and all the other crap going on relating to it, by the time they finally said they were ready to give me my copy of XCOM, I told them to forget it, and delete my accounts.

I voted and joined CVG when I first heard the promo announced, and I was unable to get a key.
When keys became available and after trying a few times I asked my brother to try his GMG account. He voted and joined CVG and got a key within a couple hours.
When I filed a support ticket with info on my situation, I got a canned response back that made it obvious the support tech never even read my ticket. This promo was executed very poorly and ended up frustrating a significant number of their members.

Hell I got mine and I was using an old account. BUT, It took it like 3 days for them to send me my key.

edit, And I also live in the us.frankly it sounds like it's pure luck.

I almost gave up, only got the key yesterday, too much trouble to get the key, I had to create a new email, a new steam account and use proxy because they block my country from receive the game but don't block us from vote, funny, they even lie saying that they ran out of keys, but with proxy they have plenty of it.

i got the key on my second attempt.
first time gmg said no more keys.
second time i got the key... same steam and email acounts

they say something about a limited number of keys per day/region in the world. so just try again tomorrow

I thought their crappy setup was confusing, but there were no actual issues getting the key, and admittedly i really liked the game. Guess it just comes down to doing everything in the right order, and then following the link in the email.

I received the game. Although, I mixed up which email I used to link with GMG, so I had to revote.

I didn't get my welcome pack yet.

"GMG doesn't seem to like US people." => GMG doesn't seem to like EU people too, at least with conversion rates.

I got it(and bought enemy within with the coupon) but a friend who lives in the same country as me didn't, he got an email telling him the keys were all gone, despite the fact that i kept seeing people for days after days saying they were getting keys and i even got one of their newsletters telling me to go vote and get xcom eu for free. And no he did not use any proxies when he entered for it and we even use the same ISP.
