Amazon appstore is now open worldwide

Now everyone can get the daily free app, which today is Fruit Ninja.

What next, buying PC games from outside the US?

It's actually a nice thing. Yesterday the free app was 10000000 - and even though I can buy pc games from Europe in the amazon.com shop just fine, this app was listed as "not available due to region restrictions".

However, after installing the appstore on my phone, I could get it.

Sad fact: the Amazon app from the Play Store did not work, it still showed up as region restricted, only the Amazon appstore worked.

Another sad fact: using the appstore requires you to activate the 1-click-buy on your Amazon profile.

I didn't activate it, and managed to get in and get Fruit Ninja (through the Amazon app).

Still get this error in Germany.. : You are not eligible to purchase this app due to geographical restrictions.

Du hast wohl meinen Beitrag nicht gelesen - das funktioniert nur über den Amazon Appstore, den du dir manuell auf deinem Handy installieren musst.
Man konnte in Deutschland das Spiel 10000000 nicht über die Homepage oder die Amazon App (aus dem Google Play Store) installieren.

Leider gibt es heute bereits ein anderes kostenloses Spiel: Fruit Ninja (das kannst du dir aber problemlos auch aus dem Play Store installieren, wo es auch kostenlos angeboten wird).

I looked on the play store but the app is not for free there. Do I need to install the Amazon Mobile for Android App to get it? Kindly point me into the right direction, bitte :)

or in this page, scan the QR code to download it directly.
I don't know if it's available even outside Italy (but i think that it should).
The free app of the day is the one listed as App gratuita del giorno (I don't know if you can switch the language of the app, probably not)

I got an official announcement mail from Amazon, so maybe it's open now even through the web. Haven't tried.
