I noticed that this game came out on Steam recently: SpaceCorn . While it is cheap, it was advertised as free to play during its Greenlight campaign. It is also still free on Desura. Now I am not saying anything about the quality game, but I feel like the developer should have came out during the campaign or before releasing on Steam about their decision to revise their pricing strategy. Make of this as you please, just wanted to shed some light on this.

Gah devs...
Well who cares if they promised free? I wanted to pay.
Meh Don't care

Well.. It is free on Desura... Can you link where they said it would be free on Steam? I can't find the source. Have they removed it?

EDIT: Ok I found it

Well, that is not the question. But the promise was made by only 1 of the authors of the game, and 3 years ago... And the game has cards. A lot of things can change in 3 years :/
I would be more worried about the game being detected as a Trojan...

I agree that the devs should have said up front that they've decided to charge, but given Steam's new refund policy, you can play it for free anyway, so no point in asking people not to buy it.

And this poll shows why gaming is slowly dying and why it's good that way.

What gaming is dying? PC gaming is dying since NES, it'll be around 30 years now ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

We're all slowly dying, starting from our birth. Gaming will be dead when there will be no game anymore.

Gaming has been dying since homo sapiens exists and uttered the first word: godlike.

Wait, Steam requires me to verify my age to go to the store page? Just what kind of game is this?

Game description: Play as a unicorn who crashes his ship on an alien planet where nothing makes sense.

Publisher's posted video introduction: "Disclaimer: While this game is still somewhat "buggy". Please keep in mind that changes to the final release may occur."

lol

Okay I got clarification from one of the devs. He said that he didn't want to wait for Steam to approve the free of charge price tag, so he went ahead and decided on the lowest "non-free" base price. I figure he will try to keep it on sale for as long as possible. He even said this:
"RocKing 802 [author] 5 hours ago
You can download it free on Desura, we are totally fine with that ;)"
So while maybe not the best decision made, I can understand his rationale.

Well sorry, at the end I ended up buying it for a friend who are constantly complaining about not winning games on SG. So I sent him Spacecorn with a message " Congratulations! You won a new gift" :D Hopefully he'll like is :P

A friend bought it for me, I feel filthy :(
Also the game is about 10-20 minutes long and you could easily program something like this in a few hours xD
