A couple of days ago I come home from work and I fine my google account disabled. It says I violated their ToS somehow. Now I've been getting a couple of messages about account security. I thought I changed my password but I guess someone must have gotten in again. I just heard from the appeal that they will not reinstate the account so I went and made a new one.

Thing is, now I lose my Final Fantasy Brave Exvius save, which is heartbreaking as I out in a LOT of time on it, but even worse is, I did a browser history clear and got signed out of HB and I can't remember my password. The account is linked to my gmail that's disabled so no recovery can be sent. I did send a help request about changing the login email to support for me. Lets hope they can help so I can get my classic plan back on track. Otherwise I won't be resubbing.

I hate people.

Sorry to hear that. You should also try to contact the customer support for the FF game as they might be able to transfer your progress to the new account.

Well, if you provide HB with your payment details/receipts from bank, it should be easy for them to confirm, that you are the rightful owner. If you have made any payments to FF, it also should be the case. In worst case you can offer them for example making a small advanced payment, for an amount asked by them, to prove, that you are really in charge of the payments source. Hope, it will go well for you.

Sorry to hear that. Have you tried see if there is an option to download data? They allow downloading data from disabled accounts, but I don't know what kind of data you can download or if every disabled account qualifies. And hopefully you can regain access to your Humble account showing past payment details.

My emotional response to this kind of rubbish is best described by such colorful language as to require a Mature rating for its audience. I am sorry you have lost your email account, but this does provide motivation to learn which measures you can take to prevent this from happening, again. Perhaps going to the Google homepage (to avoid being phished) and contacting Support from there to complain about being hacked (before you were actually locked out) might have left you an opportunity to keep your foot in the door? I do not know if that would have helped, but losing your account is really, really aggravating.

P.S. (I currently use two-step authorization for my account. I am guessing you did not have that option in place.)

This kind of news is devastating. My professional side (computer security) wants to ask all kinds of questions and provide tips, but I'm sure now's not the time for that. Feel free to tag me here if you'd like help problem solving. My condolences for your loss.

Thanks all. Working with HB support now. Sent the only info I can since I can't get into my account- the last 4 digits of the credit card and my zip code (US here). I hope I can get this sorted out.
