Hey!!!

I just started making my own application with my friends using Startup and I would be very grateful if you could fill in this quick survey.
Sure thing I prepared some giveaways for you:

https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/ZXwQJ/mortal-kombat-x

Thanks in advance!

I think asking: "Will you be willing to pay for it?" is weird.I think you would find more interesting answer and maybe a better understanding with :"Will you be willing to pay for it?If yes how much".
Thanks for the giveaways and enjoy the bump :D

I think it's hard to say, that i would pay for it, because I don't know what it is...
Does it provide local news in my language? Is it like a wiki for behavior in other countries?

Still took the survey, but you need to describe your product ;)

The thing is that we need first to collect feedback and then to decide how our app will work. Atm we plan it to be like a wiki with an option to choose country and briefly familiarize with basic laws(and ofc we will include links to a country's government website)

Thank you very much :)

you should also ckeck how difficult it would be to get the inforamtions your app will provite. if there is not something special about it, why should somebody pay, if they get all informations for free and easy...
you see description is still needed ;) otherwise you can't calculate with the answers. for example: I like the idea and say: "yes, i would pay for it.", then i'll see the app and it is totally not what i was expecting, i will not buy it. you calculate with paying-people that propably won't pay.

Hope my answer helps..
Tried to sum up things Ive encountered traveling for work (mostly regarding driving) which I would have appreciated to have known before hand
Yeah.. payment wise - I put in a short answer in the survey, but will elaborate here. For business traveling it would be pretty handy to have detailed guide about dos and donts, maybe even tailored to profession you have (social, economic, transport laws... etc) and of course thats worth paying for..
And for vacationing or just a one time trip - some condensed basic information about laws. Some general tips and thats it.. Doubt it would be worth paying for.. And a way to reel in people (almost like a demo)

Good luck with your project

never been abroad, but i answered the survey as best i could.. i hope it still helps somehow. also as a 31-year-old, being grouped into the 30-50 range kinda stings a little bit lol.

I never traveled abroad, but answered it anyway. Feel free to discard my answer if that fact makes it not helpful. Also bump. :)

A few (hopefully helpful) comments:

Your questionnaire is about travelling abroad, and yet the age categories are under 11, 12-14, 15-17, 18-20, 21-30, 30-50, 51+. Do you anticipate many teenagers traveling abroad, and needing to consult local laws, to need such granular separation in the 12-20 age range? At the same time, you lump 21-30 in one group and 30-50 in another, and I think there's a lot more difference among people in those age brackets than there is in the 12-20 range. As an example, you seem to place an emphasis on business, and yet anyone <21 is likely not traveling for business at all, while those 21-25 are going to be young professionals with significantly different behaviour and worries from those 26-30.

Similarly, you seem to place an emphasis on business travel, but I think most run-ins with local law enforcement occur among young tourists that decide to do stupid things - which unfortunately also are the people least interested in familiarizing themselves with local laws or paying for an app.

There's a huge emphasis being placed on knowing local laws, and local laws being different from where you are, avoiding breaking laws by accident, etc, but that's not a concern for most people traveling to most places. The bulk of laws, as relevant to people going about their day / business, is pretty similar from country to country. It really only applies to people going to radically different and particularly oppressive countries - like someone from the US going to North Korea, for example.

Anyway, hope that helps. Good luck!

Done, maybe's this is why I'm really afraid of traveling to countries like Singapore, could be really useful!

Why? Singapore is quite an expensive country to live in and for tourist as well. But for security wise, it would be quite safe even at night. But it is best to go in group :D

Singapore is a lovely country but I've heard there are some strict rules which I'll be afraid of violating, which was the survey OP was mentioning about, yea one day I'll get there with friends familiar with the country. :D
