Best client
Yeah, you are right... Especially lately it is not stable at all.
But i think it is still manageable? Almost every game on steam ½50 cheaper than dollar, maybe they can fix it with "½" instead of certain number. Lets say every game will be ½40 cheaper for TL users. (I mean cheaper than dollar, it is still not cheap for us :D). At least this way we won't have to sell our houses for an AAA game.

i played some games on origin with an xbox one controller without any problems

Steam because of the variety and ease of access. My biggest gripe with Origin is that if you update one of their games, it will overwrite any mods you may have installed (detrimental to my Mass Effect games! D:< ). Also, they seem to want to update the damn thing every single day and will force you into offline mode if you don't comply. Steam doesn't have that problem.

Steam also forces you to update. They had the ability to deny updates, but removed it years ago.

I'm very surprised to see you say you not only like Origin but find it to be the best client. I don't think I've ever seen someone praise it before.
For me it's by far the worst client I had the misfortune to use. The design isn't very good, it's laggy sometimes, can be unresponsive and crash, there are numerous issues with the friend list (people not getting friend requests after you send them for example), every now and then it asks me where I'm from even though I always pick the same option, QTWebEngineProcess sometimes starts using ridiculous amount of memory (I assume it's memory leak).
I have to use it to play Apex Legends and I hate it soooo much.
Anyway, as for your question I prefer Steam as my main client.

Literraly no crash, whast so ever and I use a lot of it's features:
Family share, Nvidia now, steam controller, steam link, videos, pictures, overly over overlay, big picture and many add-ones, adding HDD games!
Origin lacks features and is very restrictive at many things, how it downloads the games, the fact that mow wanted 2012 still doesn't work and finally it is EA own launcher: V.

I never had an problem with any of these launchers.
I think just because of the steamlink I like steam the most but epic is on a good way to and there is hope for gog 2.0

Steam, due to the community aspect of the platform. GOG is a close second because they are simply awesome in many ways - It's too bad Steam has the monopoly on the market, as if it weren't for them, I feel GOG would do very well.

To those of you who voted Epic: Are you just saying that because of their free games?
That's technically not a client feature, but whatever.
Hope you do okay without a shopping cart and the conveniences of Steam & other stores, and I sincerely hope you don't lose those free games or get locked out of your account.

Indeed, anyone who said Epic is either trolling (and has never actually used the client) or has incredibly low standards.

There is no "best." It's a PC, you can have them all.

I am trying GOG Galaxy 2.0, and I really like it so far. Since it kind of includes all the others, it gets my vote.
One thing that some people seem to overlook about Steam (or, well, maybe it only matters to a few people like me) -- their solution for Controller support is great! Being able to play games with my Logitech controller, or my Dualshocks, is absolutely fantastic, and it is a Steam feature!

I have not had any problems with any of the clients( except I haven't used bethesda) Steam has been great , I've only just started using Galaxy 2.0 but it looks good so far, the listed future features would be amazing. Uplay is fine, about the same as Origin.

I'd like to vote Epic for the absolute worst launcher in existence. Somehow just having it running causes it to use my video card a bunch and it causes heating to about 60 centigrade. I don't mean playing games, I mean just having Epic open.
I've never seen any kind of issue like that with any other launcher. I have a decent video card and don't have any issues with overheating while playing games. But Epic causes enough heating just being open by itself that I would never want to try to play a game with it open.
Fortunately I've found out how to play Epic's version of Axiom Verge without Epic having to be open at all. I hope the same can be done with other things like Subnautica too. Otherwise I'll never end up playing them even getting them for free.
When your launcher is so screwed up that it can make even good things being given for free not worth it, you've really messed up.

I have a GTX 980M and drivers are up to date unless they changed from a week ago. I don't have issues running games. It's just that the Epic client literally causes more heat up just by being open than playing most games does.
So the heat up from having Epic running plus playing a game at the same time would generate heat like running at least two games at once. I don't know why the Epic client being open would do this when no other client causes heat up at all.

Normal running temp on the laptop is 30-35 C. Whenever I start Epic (not running any games), the temp starts climbing up until it gets to 55-60 C. When I close Epic the temp starts going back down again until it gets to the normal temp of 30-35 C.
Happens that way every single time. So I'm 100% certain it is happening because of running the Epic client.

i would like a collection where i could see all my games (steam, uplay, epic, origin, gog, and so on) and the correct cllient would be startet automatic.

"clients" are irrelevant. I miss the time when games were just standalone games, not sub-program of "client" X or Y.

You can have a digital version without a client though. For instance, GOG games without the Galaxy client or Humble Bundle games that can be directly downloaded as opposed to activated on Steam.

I think the Origin is the best client. It looks good, works well with no bugs as far as i know. The settings all work nicely and no trouble like on Steam. It also has prices in SEK which is really good, makes games cheaper than on Steam. Also really good and cheap offers.
