Giveaway maker send me a region locked steam gift copy, can't give it back to him, can't redeem it

I won this giveaway and the GA maker send me a region locked copy. It doesn't say anything about it on the GA page.

The problem is my ASF bot is running when he send the trade offer so it's automatically accepted without i can check it.

The steam gift is now on tradehold until 20 may so i can't give it back to the sender to reroll the GA.

I know it's against the rule to not activate the game you won but if can't redeem it what should i do?

already post a ticket but no respond yet :(

First thing you should always do is contact the gifter and tell them what the problem is and see if you can find a solution which would be either:

  • send you a version you can use either a gift or as a key

or

  • a re-roll (but support doesn't do that for region restricted giveaways that are not marked as region restricted)
  • deletion of the giveaway

For the last 2 you need to write that you agree with it else the gifter can't do it.
