Having a boring title or a fake "this website sucks" pretty much means there is a giveaway, so you need to be more creative in truly boring people

I always liked reading on the topic of religion, mainly Christianity. So, yeah... that's why I am here I guess.

Thanks for the giveaway, although I'm the only person on the planet who isn't interested in Skyrim. But hey, thanks anyway :D

Skyrim is actually a deep, insightful essay about social structures in primitive societies under the influence of Christian religions!

Talos-worship is like Christianity (Talos was the divine made flesh who gave his life, I guess, for humanity.) Skyrim is a primitive society, and the influence of this religion divides it and causes a giant civil war. Also there's an evil dragon somewhere in all this, I don't know. The evil dragon symbolizes the pope or something.

Actually nearly all religions have done this so both of you make valid points.

read again and do some research on why it was conquered. The Christian pilgrims were slaughtered by the Muslims. Reminds me of ISIS burrying Christians in the desert, killing their priests and raping women...

While I agree that "christian religions" is poorly phrased, probably referring to various denominations of Christianity (Catholicism, Orthodox, Protestantism etc.), "Abrahamic religions" is broader, which includes Judaism and Islam as well.

Christianity (general word) or Christian sects (more specific), perhaps?

I assumed Christianity.

If that is/was the case, then "religions" is superfluous and erroneous.

I came here because I've spent far too many years studying the history of Christianity and its social and political influence on various populations, thereby leading me to assume I might be of help to someone wanting to write an essay about the subject. P

I came here to either help someone or start a debate on what is considered influence of the christian religion(Or christianity, abrahmagic or whatever religion group you define) itself, what is of the countries' actions(economical, military, diplomatic and so on) upon meeting those societies and what of the subsequent exchange of knowledge, technology, culture and such.

Or to put it a simpler way religion is ultimately only an aspect of culture which is itself only a part of what society and country are thus either you are exceedingly specific to get the few examples you can speak on that topic or you are effectively talking about "societies being affected by more advanced societies".
