Once again Humble Bundle is offering this to people who are currently not subscribed and all the loyal Subscribers get nothing. Typical Non Humble Move if you ask me.

Not every non subscriber got this offer. only a select group. the full criterias are of course not known but i guess people who bought monthlies in the past and have potential to buy it.

Is Humble Bundle even Humble anymore?

Thanks, IGN!

If you've ever subbed, it's unlikely that you'll get this unless it's been a loooong time since you bought a monthly

It has been a while for me, but if I haven't received this email by now, I doubt I will.

Quite time ago I got 2 free month for new subscribers, when I was cancelling after not near one month I got -3$ on resubscribing. So it's not true that it's unlikely.

We're talking about a yearly sub discount here, not about being offered a discount when you threaten to cancel your sub.

It's just personalized marketing. It's quite big discount but if everyone would get it it would be high cost for HB. I hope You don't feel hurt by HB for such a politics.

And I was just stating that it's less likely for anyone to get the year sub offer.
I've had the $3 offer from HB a few times now, it was nice :)

No email for me either

They only gave me a $3 off offer for a single month.

Paying for games before Humble tells me what they are is too close to gambling for my liking. So I just deleted the email.

I cancelled my sub on May 25...I guess that's not long enough ago to qualify for this offer :/

No email for me. Anyway, every year there is a period where you can get the whole year sub for $99, iirc. Not that it looks like a good deal this year, taking into account things like gamepass, the ea vault, uplay+, epic freebies and the cloud shove. Will humble create a launcher/installer for their vault? a subscription through Steam the same as EA?

Looking at good amount of comments it seems that no matter what HB will do to monthly it won't change anything - paying on early unlocks = gamble, paying to get the choice = meh, classic sub is better. I'm subscriber and didn't get any discount or whatever and I still think HB Monthly/choice is good way to get quite fresh and good games cheap.

Okay, so I'm not eligible for this offer, because I'm already subscribed (and paused). And that's probably for the better, considering I bought only 2 Monthlies this year and none at all last year. Paying for 12 months in advance, even with that massive discount, would be a considerable risk for me, as I'm very picky and there's not many games I'm interested in that I don't already have.

This offer matters only if they keep a standard quality for their reveals or overall bundle games included and you will be able to trade/giveaway/resell the games you are not interested or already have. Otherwise why would anyone give so much money upfront?

I think that $99 deal was offered to current subscribers at some point. If I remember right, I extended by subscription by 12 months by taking advantage of that deal.

And I'm not surprised they're offering a deal to non-subscribers... that's what every subscription-based company does. Cable, phone, warehouse stores, etc. I don't like it, but it's certainly not exclusive to Humble.

Guys, do you think that Humble will offer a similar deal on Black Friday?

Doubt it, Humble Choice is starting next month and $99 a year would be too good deal.

I still remember when I paid for a year subscription and the very next day they offered to give Kingdom Come: Deliverance for free to anyone that paid for a year of humble. I contacted them and they very nicely told me to go **** myself. I will never forget that, and I will never forgive them.

They had even done the EXACT same thing, the year before. But with three free months. I'm just running my current subscription out before I'm done with them. Because they clearly don't care about me.

Or at least I was I guess. This new stay subbed to keep your classic plan I think is aimed very specifically at people they have continuously screwed over like myself.

if u buy car and next day they cut a price u will be angry too?

If you bought bread today and next day it is halfpriced-will you never shop there anymore?

Or you will be going to the shop asking them for $1 for the price-cutted bread?

Kingdom come is a lot more expensive than a dollar to start off with. Also, bread goes on sale constantly, I could just wait a week to get my bread if I just absolutely had to get it half off. I've missed out on nothing there, just had to wait a bit. You'll notice however that Humble hasn't given Kingdom come away again. Nor shall they. I would have just got the deal the next time they had it and been fine.

Also, most places will actually honer their sale for those that purchased just before. Nearly every place does. Brick and mortar store like grocery stores, toy stores, massive chains like target/walmart. I've even had a car lot do it. Online places do it as well. Every single quality company that cares about customers does it. I'm not being outrageous here. It's been a thing forever and still is a thing.

Your analogy is seriously flawed. I don't think you quite understand what my problem with Humble was. It's not the money, and even if it was, it's my money, and my choice of where, or where not, to spend it.

yea if you can return it. It's seller right to accept returns in this situation.

I bought a car 6 years ago. Now it costs 10k less. I should really go to dealer and ask for 10k back...

Isn't there something like 'buyer's remorse' that allows you to return purchases within 3-7 days?

I would like that offer, but Humble doesn't give it to current subscribers.

Sorry for not being the point of the topic, but I asked on the one focused on the humble monthly and nobody answered me.
I'm a first time buyer, I have to buy it 'till next monday for credit card reasons, so I'm kinda in a hurry to figure this out.
I used to have a lot of 10% off coupons but they're all expired now, is there some way for me to get one of those before I buy 1 month or nah? Only buying other things to get one of those? Thanks anyway!

not that am aware of
there is the free month offer currently going if you use invite link (only for 1s time subscribers)
or you can use a friend referral link to give him 8$ credit in the store and work a deal
dont ask here for links as they are against the rule to post. but do add me if you want

Free month? But with what invite link, from someone else or directly from humble, like the email OP posted? I searched a bit for it on google but didn't find anything about it... Thanks for the answer!
(Not asking for the link, only info about it, just to be clear haha But I did add you)

Buying the $1 tier of one of the game bundles will give you a 10% off coupon if you are a new subscriber.
You'll end up saving 20 cents as well as getting a couple of free games from the bundles.
Not sure if buying stuff from the Humble Store will give you the same coupon, maybe try adding things to cart and see if a coupon shows up there. I can't check since I'm already subbed.

Oh yeah, but sadly in my currency, the credit card charges more 'cause of taxes from conversion, etc, and it end up being a little big more expensive. But there is the side that I can get some games for free, unfortunaly none of the bundles in there rn are of my interest :(
I'll try to add something to the cart and see if something shows up, thank you!

Tbh Humble Bundle hasn't been "humble" ever since years back when they made the high top tiers in an effort to make the bta tier shoot up high, with the "Warning! You're not going to get the (fill in the blank games), add just $X more to unlock them" message (and at one point if you tried to pay under the bta, you'd see an image of a poor destitute game designer who has to struggle just to get money to eat), and changed all sorts of policies they had that were great, for the worse, such as getting rid of the 2nd week unlocks to early and/or bta buyers, not having 30 days after your payment to raise the price, etc. At least they got rid of the one key per tier crap that they tried for a little while.

Is it a link or code that’s used? Is there any way to buy it as a gift and then redeem it for yourself (if you’re already a subscriber but didn’t get the link, etc. since I gather it’s only intended for new subscribers)

So it is an exclusive deal sent to email of non-subscribers? How come I haven't received any email for being a non-subscriber?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Simply because you didn't meet the criteria Humble set: it wasn't sent to every non-subscriber Humble has on their mailing lists, but rather a subset they (presumably) thought were more likely to subscribe.
