Its hard to answer as Yes or No... It depends on several things:

  • which plan would you choose?
  • what games are in the bundle?

As for me for example, always every month had 3-4 games which i wanted to get + the others I either gave away, or traded for something else... :)
Plus remember, you can always pause for a month ;)

Hm, there is no plan with 12$/year as far as I know. but anyway, even if you pay a annually, you can pause for a month, and no - as its logical, you are not paying for that month. I am paying monthly, but I guess in an annual plan it would push the end of the plan by 1 month... :)

I think he/she meant 12$/month.

If you pause, you don't pay. I would suggest you look at the games and think about what you would pay for them and decide if the bundle is worth it. I mean you get some good deals out of the monthly/choice. ON the other hand some of the bundles just aren't worth it. The games you won't play are always considerable for a GA ;)

Be careful of pausing with the $12 promo rate. I asked Humble about pausing at the promo rate, and they said if I did it would negate the $12 rate. Basically, the $12/month rate is only good for 12 straight months. If you pause a month, your rate reverts to the normal premium rate. According to Humble customer service, anyway.

I believe you're wrong. You only lose your status if you cancel, not pause. I've been doing that practically the whole year.

Wait, for real?
In August they offered $12/months for 3 months, and I've heard from several people who paused it that the following months became regular $20 instead of $12.

Never heard of that, but that could be something related to first time customers?
I'm subscribed since December 2018 or January 2019, if I'm not wrong, with the $12 a month if I'm not wrong

Hmm, not sure if I'm looking at this right or not but I'm not a first time costumer, but I still see the deal. (I already unsubscribed a while ago tho so uhh.) Idk.

Can you please explain how this works for you (I am a recurring customer so would like to know)?
So, at some point you've subscribed, and now you can easily pause without any penalty in price?
By the way, can you prolong your pause for more than one month? Or how does it work?

Yes, I continue to pause each month in which I'm not interested and I'm still using the year subscription I paid for in 2018/2019 (I paid 12 months at the time). Probably in the next 1 or 2nd month I'll have to pay the $12 since my 12 months of subscription ends.

What he said is definitely true for the subscription I have, which is €10 (or $12). If I pause I lose the discount and will have to pay the full price next time. I have this subscription since June, older subscriptions may still have the ability to pause.

I'm just conveying what Humble Bundle told me. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

EDIT: Sounds like you have the Classic Plan, which I believe was $12. My comment applies to new customers who subscribed using the current $12 premium promotion (which applies to me).

Oh, yeah, I completely confused the Classic with the Premium. I'm sorry! It's been a long week :s

Those people are the people who buy.

  1. I want to play games but I don't have time to choose a good one
  2. I have family and friends to give away games I don't play
  3. There is no particular financial problem

Those people are the people who don't buy

  1. I have time to choose a game that I think is good
  2. Focus on playing one game
  3. I don't have time to play

In any case, I think the right way to buy is to make good use of "pause".
I'm always poor, even if I'm full of what I want.┐(´Θ`)┌ooO(🥒🎮💻🌏🍫🎁💣🚀🛸)

There are few reasons to buy.
The reasons for not buying are endless.
If you can buy various things "comfortably", it is a good purchase.
Somewhere human beings were saying.😊

...It seems that some people are satisfied just by looking at the gameplay of others, but the spirit of playing and watching may be important.

My advice: don't pay anything in advance. If you gift a leftover to someone they don't see as your 'family and friends' they can close your account. If you are not protected by EU consumers laws, then you'll lose your money.
HB is not the happy place it was years ago, now it's a money pump for IGN with nothing but contempt for customers, supposed to pay but not do what they want with their games.

Their TOS say that trading leftovers is a big no-no. In fact, it's very risky.
Some people have advised to generate Steam keys, so HB cannot track your use of them. If you go the HB gift link way, you have more chance to get caught.
For my part, I used to take every monthly and gift leftovers on SG. Now I only buy bundles or monthlies if I don't own most of the games, and ofc if I really want some of the games. I now gift my leftovers from HB direclty to people in my friendlist... at least I'm sure to gift games to nice people, based on their wishlists.

Unless it changed, you should be able to choose key or gift link. You are sure to be able to get a key, of course...
It's up to you to take the risk of trading, it doesn't matter if it is with a friend or not regarding HB TOS. Friends and family is for gifting. In other words, don't get caught trading or face the consequence :-)
The best with HB is to avoid buying from them unless for yourself if the deal is really good, in my humble opinion.

This price is locked in for twelve months, and this offer will be void if your subscription is canceled or paused. Only previous Choice or Monthly subscribers are eligible. Gifts are not eligible.
