I've still yet to own the original Portal. I've got Portal 2 though.

Though your topic title was a triumph, I still want you gone for that pun :)

once a portal fan, always a portal fan. i made 2 maps way back but havent played any portal/portal 2 in a while. I really want to play portal 2 co-op, the only portal I have yet to experience... and ive been told that I am missing out bigtime lol. even went as far as to buy two different friends a copy of portal 2, but still have not gotten to play it heh.
did the same thing with l4d2, bought em it but still cant get a game going lol... bastards!

There isn't much going on.. the only one writing announcements is me and that is mainly during daytime (for me). So manually checking is the only way atm. I hoped that more people would use the groups forums, that's why I set up so many sticky treads. But when there are to few members using them, I can't announce their maps.

That's pretty nasty..
Wouldn't it be enough to just re-install your graphics-driver or is directx now completely implemented into windows?
The last map I created was the OSC-Hard version but it gained about as much attention as everything written into the groups forums.. after that there hasn't been any puzzle-map anymore.

Well, the updated graphics driver did nothing, and every DirectX install crashes - the web one and the redist one. People in the webz say Windows reinstall is the only solution... Oh well, I shouldn't bother you with my problems, sorry =)
I hereby promise that I will play your map as soon as I will be able to =) And also I will try to visit the group once in a while. Thanks for trying to keep Portal alive ;)

But there's no sense crying over every mistake,
You just keep on going until you run out of cake.

There was a time (a few months ago), where there was much talk and a few Portal-themed giveaways. But then suddenly everything stopped.
Now most of the ones particopating in my newest puzzle try to bruteforce their way and nobody answers when I announce a free game on PPG (the Portal Puzzle-Group, if someone remembers) even though there are almost any time at least 2-5 people online.
I actually wanted to make new maps as I've got more time now but if all the interrest is gone, I'll most likely quit.
