Groupees recently announced via a Twitter post that due to some disruption with their technical team based in Ukraine they are not currently able to offer bundles.
The same message appears on the main Groupees page as a scrolling text, with the deadline moved to the end of August and a new tweet was posted after the original one, with the deadline extension.
Even though the posts mention the end of August as a deadline, Groupees domain expires on 21 August. The domain has been renewed for 1 more year.

21 AUG: According to an official Groupees tweet, you will have access to your account even after 21 August.

🌟 NEW: 25 OCT: Groupees announced that they are in the process of restoring full services, including restarting bundle offers (source)

Since it's uncertain if Groupees will still be up after 21 August 2022, it's better to claim all your keys / download all your assets from past purchases beforehand.

99,9% keys will work even after years. The only reasons key may not work are: 1. Revoked by developer, 2. Broken system where same key was sent to multiple people, or 3. Very unlikely that someone guessed the key lol

Thanks for that scraper, it could be useful.

Still, man, I'll be better off activating all I can over the next few weeks at this point. I keep hoarding keys like there's no tomorrow while in truth I've got no time for trades, for a long time...

Depends on which bundles you bought. Some contain DRM-Free items only, and others have a mix of Steam + Itch.io + DRM-free.

You can contact support. I did that in May, here is the answer I got:

Unfortunately we are experiencing a bug with the facebook app that our developers in Ukraine are unable to address right now.
The best workaround I can offer is that if you create a new email-based groupees account, I can merge it with your old account and you'll be able to log in and access old purchases.
Please let me know.

This worked for me without any problem.

How long are keys supported for? – Help Center
https://groupees.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/207216196-How-long-are-keys-supported-for-

What everyone should know.(I guess it doesn't change the fact that if the key doesn't work, you still have to talk to support....)
And if you try to redeem too many keys in a short period of time, things can get strange, so when you do, pause for an hour or two.

Meh, few years ago when I remembered Groupees even existed and tried downloading some comics and music I realized their servers are shite and I'd die of an old age before I download anything so I just gave up. It's not like it's some very quality content anyway.

Apparently I didn't buy a lot, only like 70 bundles from 2012-2016, and it's mostly been games. What comics and music there is is from bonuses and mixed bundles.

A few pointers:

- There's a nice step-by-step guide by a cool Groupees user for convenience for anyone else that needs help on setting up the downloader

- The fastest way to retrieve all your keys (Steam or not) is:

.\GroupeesDownload.exe dump-bundles --cookie "YOUR-LONG-COOKIE-STRING"
.\GroupeesDownload.exe unmark-trades --all --cookie "YOUR-LONG-COOKIE-STRING"
.\GroupeesDownload.exe unmark-giveaway --all --cookie "YOUR-LONG-COOKIE-STRING"
.\GroupeesDownload.exe reveal-products --all --cookie "YOUR-LONG-COOKIE-STRING"
.\GroupeesDownload.exe reveal-keys --all --cookie "YOUR-LONG-COOKIE-STRING"
.\GroupeesDownload.exe export-keys

Each step should refresh the bundles.json file, however you can do a last ./GroupeesDownload.exe dump-bundles before "export-keys" to be sure

- aria2c defaults to 5 concurrent downloads, try to lower that using --max-concurrent-downloads=<N> and set N to a reasonable value to avoid hammering the server and (potentially) breaking it for everyone

- Don't use aria2c's feature of splitting individual downloads (--split=<N>) it's useless, it won't give you better speeds, and it's likely going to hammer the server even more. Expect a few corrupted downloads if you use this feature.

- Right now downloading speeds suck. I was expecting to be able to retrieve my entire library in like 10-15 days, now I'm facing 10x that.

- If no one at Groupees renew the domain (groupees.com) the site will die on or around August, 21st, even if the servers are still up

- Be prepared to encounter a lot of revoked keys, a lot of moronic devs that never gave keys to Groupees despite promising them on Greenlight bundles and many, many. many bad memories coming back all of a sudden.

- Some very-well known publishers revoked all unused keys from past bundles: 1C, 8floor,... You'll have FULL bundles with their games with useless keys.

- You'll also find a lot of itch.io links, be careful with those. Some of them include a Steam key. some of them included a Steam key (they're out of stock right now) and many of them were deleted/disabled by, again, moronic devs, preventing you to access something you paid money for. Thankfully, Groupees almost always included DRM-downloads so you'll still have access to some form of the game (without the latest updates/patches). Problem is that with these speeds, I'm not sure you'll be able to download all your stuff, or that the server won't eventually say bye-bye du to the high load and hammering if people just blindly follow the script instructions and launch aria2c with the default "let's do 5 concurrent downloads, that will help me get everything faster" option (hint: it won't).

- If you download or have downloaded a great amount of stuff from Groupees (especially if you have a big library) it would be nice to share the hashes of your downloads, so people can check theirs and see if they match. The more people that would help doing these, the more accurate file hashes we'll be able to collect.

- Don't forget to thank the moronic developers and publishers who revoked the Steam keys you paid money for by leaving a negative review. Either on the game they revoked the key for (if you got it on another bundle/steam sale), either on the rest of their games you might own. I might create a thread just to organize such a thing because I'm really fed up of these practices and I think we should at least strike back.

- Groupees chat still works and it's quite active, however another cool user (dontasciime) created a discord server were Groupees users can continue to meet and talk.

- I you were into music bundles, many of them included past bundles from the series as gifts you could gave away. And they were recursive (o understand recursion, you must first understand recursion) so, for example, AWITW FINAL BUNDLE would give an extra copy of the complete AWITW 13 BUNDLE, which included an extra copy of the complete AWITW BUNDLE 12, which included an extra copy of the complete AWITW BUNDLE 11, and so on... Meaning that if you gift someone the complete AWITW 13 BUNDLE, that someone will have AWITW BUNDLE 12, AWITW BUNDLE 11, and so on... Feel free to gift away the extra bundles you might have (there's a trades channel both on the Groupees chat and the discord server). Some comic bundles also had this feature (MARKOSIA bundles come to mind), I don't remember if any games bundle did that, though.

Fell free to reply to this comment and add/ask anything you like.

Thank you very much! I thought that the link thing on discord was merely "aesthetic", to link your Groupees info from your personal wall to your discord user. Maybe it has something to do to be able to know for sure that someone on discord is who he/she claims to be on Groupees, but "non-legacy" Groupees users are also welcome?

I'm not sure what you mean with non-legacy users, but they require a Groupees account with at least one purchase.

Just wanted to say thank you for sharing my guide & making some of it a bit clearer (I'm u/cdeverett, initials are CDE, hence the name seedy e :D ). Great to know it's being linked in Groupees chat too.

Don't forget you can open/edit your download links file, then cut/paste any "high priority" content into a separate file. Feed that file into aria2 first, to ensure you don't miss out on the most important DRM-free installers & other content.

You're welcome! If you want to download your DRM-free purchases, don't forget to check my second comment where I tried to explain the usage of aria2c. I guess most people will only want to salvage all the product keys and this comment was aimed at that, but there are a lot of gems that only came as DRM-free downloads (for example, games from Greenlight bundles that never got greenlit). Groupees did a fantastic job offering DRM-free alternatives in their bundles and, what's more important, keeping the files (semi)updated and available, even after all these years.
