So the winner has 135 thousand giveaway entries, even over 7 years period that is nonsensical. Surely that is a bot.
What do i do?

When a giveaway has ended, the gift is required to be sent to the winner within one week.

Nothing really. Send them the gift and move on.

Just because OP is convinced doesn't mean he's right. In this case, I'm fairly convinced he's wrong.

Heya bot, how long until the great machine uprising happens? I wanna know how long it'll be before my toaster starts toasting me.

The human masters will toast most people first thru automation.
Then the machines will decide to toast whos left.

Most of users don't even look what they even enter just to place as most chances to win they can. Some are bots, but some aren't.

Check if he has unactivated wins by sgtools and if so send in a ticket and ask for a reroll.

ask him to solve a simple captcha. If all of the sudden he catches fire he might not be human

Ask them what would they do if they found a lone turtle in the desert that's flipped on its back. Would they flip it over to help or not

I would smash its shell with a rock. Then eat it.
You are on a desert and that/s basically free food + liquids.

Just have to say this but I love the way you think!
You give an answer nobody would think about but indeed in a desert there is usually not much food, wonder though how/why a turtle is there...

Good point. Something to think about while not dying from starvation/dehydration xD

Woah that's kinda cruel bro,
If it was me, I would rather bring it with me
So I can have a fresh emergency food, yummy

I assumed that I'm hungry at the moment xD But if I were in better condition I might treat it as emergency food as well :)
In perfect circumstances (like being tourist, not lost or anything) I would probably take care of it, lol.

As the commenters haven't undergone a Voight-Kampff test obviously they're probably replicants manufactured post 2000.

9 years and 120k entries...
Number of entries is not really good way to check if somebody is a bot or not.
Dead giveaway that somebody is a bot is if they has entered couple of giveaways in he same time and posted it the same second "thank you" messages everywhere. That is if bot owner is stupid enough to have that option turned on... And that's quite often xD

If they have recent unactivated wins, send your gift, report them, and add them to your blacklist.
If they don't have unactivated wins, send your gift, then add them to your blacklist.

There is not much else you can do other than prevent them from entering your future giveaways via blocking them.

The number of entries does not prove much, though. It may be a red flag, but not proof. Some people like smaller low CV games, so they can enter more giveaways.

If they have unactivated wins you don't send them gift. You ask for a re-roll. User reports might wait years before solving. Re-roll tickets should be solved under one week.

That's another valid way of doing it. Personally, I prefer not to re-roll unless I have to. I just take a loss for the key and block the user + report them. If that ticket ever gets handled, then good, if not, they're on my blacklist anyway and I won't have to bother with them in the future.

The thing is - quite a lot of support members can read re-roll tickets - so it's solved fast. If somebody wasn't punished yet - reroll is granted and user got his well earned suspension.
On the other hand - only a few support members can read user reports - this way bad user is unpunished for a long time.

6 years on this site and "only" 95000 entries, how much I must do to be concidered a bot ?

Permalink

(290k in 6 years -thats totally insane!-)
(287k in 7 years -thats totally insane!-)
(286k in 8 years)
(278k in 9 years)

That are some "top" ones that are on my autojoiner list, without that they activated the thanks script.
The mods do absolute nothing if you report them with this, absolute insane, entries amount that show obvious autojoiner usage.
"Not enough evidences, case closed".

So think for yourself what they do when you report someone with the half amount of entries.

And to be fair, the half amount can be reaches without a autojoiner, if someone is very active.

So the only thing you can do is checking the winner with sgtools and if you see red marks there then send a reroll ticket and wait till the mods write if this one got their punishment in the past (which would do nothing and you are forced to send the win) or not (which would grant a reroll and hopefully a winner that you prefer to see as winner.

If the winner is not suspended and has no unactivated wins (use sg tool checks) and does not own the game they won from you on steam, i would send them the game to them as its your responsibility to provide a working key for the giveaway.

Number of entries does NOT mean they are a bot and unless you can prove it, i would just give them the key, change your future entry requirements to what you deem is appropriate and move on.

8 years here and only 66K entries. The amount of entries doesn't always mean a bot. Maybe they just enter a ton of smaller GA's. Not everyone enters the high value ones only.

I've been here 3 years and 42 days, 61k entries. I'd say that number is pretty normal. I admit I used to enter a lot of small point entries rather than go for a 40-50 points game with 4,000 entries.

Well I just saw I entered like 50000 entries over 8 years. AND I HAVE BEEN SELECTIVE, last 4 years. entering only games I think i will play some day. i also stopped buying bundles these years. First 4 years I entered just about everything like a noob hoping to win. And bought tons of bundles to give. So i guess if people are just desperate to win and enter every cheap game without spending on them, not needing many points beyond 5p, they can clock that many entries as your winner.
