To me, the only really good SF movies are "Event Horizon" as well as the "Alien" series.
EDIT: God Event Horizon is so good, go watch it if you don't know it already

Yeah Alien 4 was just crap, but how I wish I could say Alien 3 didn't exist, it totally ruined the ending of Aliens, which was one of my favourite films ever! 😠😢

Try watching the Assembly Cut. It's... well, it's a decent movie. Far better than the normal version, and closer to the director's vision.
