Yes, She was super into me and i was into her but then she showed her true colors and i cut her off. I kept the nick name as a reminder of her, maybe because she was different from other girls that i dated i dont know why i use this nick everywhere...

Your ex was probably correct.

But yes, people in actual partnerships listen to each other.

In 2026 there's no partnerships like 1990's, its only business agreement most of the times. Thats why i like older women, the girls of my age are immature genz.

In your mind, what were partnerships like in the 90s?

loyal, caring, 2 sided no pampering required, no fake shits(specially selfies and food pictures), full of emotional attachment.

I started college in 1989, for perspective. I experienced all of the 90's as an adult. Relationships are the same now as they were then with two exceptions: more people understand that they don't have to accept bullshit in their lives and more women understand they are equal to men.

Perhaps it's your expectations that need to be adjusted.

I'm from the 90s. I guess you don't know what you're saying.

Right now I'm married. Because we love each other and want to have a serious partnership and we feel we bring forward the best of each other. We got married much older than our parents. My parents married because they wanted to get away from their parents. They hated each other and just stayed together because "that's what people do". There was a lot of violence as well.

Divorce rates are considerable nowadays because people refuse to be unhappy or won't accept being treated like shit. "Transactional" relationships always existed, specially a long time ago, since "love" was a thing you read about in books and marriage was about fusing families and their property.

The past was terrible, man. Forget tradition, embrace modernity :v

Considering the amount of "fake games" on Steam and how fast the catalog grows, is collecting/archiving stuff even worth it? Do collectors have criteria like "it must be playable" or....?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That varies widely from collector to collector. I mean, just look at GOG's Preservation Program for games they've brought back ranging from really good down to "I can see why nobody cared about this". It's the same in other fields also; there are torrent sites out there focused on preserving objectively terrible movies (horrible overall quality, poor translation, ridiculously censored TV cuts, etc.).

Yeah, I get it, but "bad" movies, "bad" games, are still real games and movies... But yeah, collecting must have some criteria or we're just talking about hoarding, idk

Funny thing is if you check the game's announcements, you'll see that's the reason the dev is taking it down: someone got it through to him that AI is bad.

Luckily, the game is being removed BECAUSE it is AI slop.
The dev stated that they changed their mind about how they see AI usage, which is cool.
I mean they could be doing it for attention, i don't know.
But I need to at least try to believe there are people who can learn from mistakes.

Am I the only one who found the developer's excuse weak and exaggerated? A simple card game made with AI having a major effect on the economy and environment? I added it to my library to see the enormous danger this game represents.👍💕

The dev didn't mean the card game itself, but the AI servers used to create it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Environmental_impact_of_artificial_intelligence

I wouldn't say it's weak, if that's what they truly believe. But it feels a bit exaggerated yeah.
It's not like adding the game to library will make use of AI again and ruin the environment/economy.
But if they truly believe AI usage is bad, then props to them for sticking to their morals, I guess.

I think he’s making a spectacle of it for relationship brownie points. He even credited her by full name, and that they have been dating for 1 month... Yikes. The people I grew up around would find that creepy/clingy/obsessive.

Y'know, this announcement genuinely makes me sad.

This dev would never have started developing their own paid-for game with a Steam release without AI having been available to compensate for their lack of ability to pay an artist fortunes to make the art for their game.

I just feel like people shouldn't shy away from opportunities given to them purely through AI's existence, and should consider the real impact of their choices and actions. Yes, people follow positive examples (like AI ruining art or creative tasks as a career for pretty-much-all humans henceforth) where people try to do the moral thing and counter the problems introduced by AI - but AI has been the cause of this positive 'anti-AI' event/news. (and subsequently the cause of opening the public's eyes to the negative things caused by AI)

It would have a much greater effect, if this dev included an unskippable foreword of 5 or 10 seconds disparaging their own choice to use AI in the project, with a statement similar to "dah dah dah dah dah dah dah, and as such, I regret using AI to produce the digital art assets used in this game. Please, consider patronising your local artists." At least, I am self-assuredly certain this is the case.

P.S. I have whitelisted you for a small set of giveaways I plan to do (I know you didn't ask) - keep an eye out, they'll last 4-7 days
