what game would you want 1st if they moved them to steam?

View Results
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Lego Creator: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2

Chamber of Secrets, honestly I'd love to see all of them on Steam but the chances of them being released are pretty much non-existent.

I also have the PC versions of: Philosopher Stone,Goblet of Fire,Order of Phoenix,Half Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows P1,but I don't think they work anymore so RIP 😢

I tried playing HP1, HP2 and HP3 on my Win 10 64 bit machine, they did work, BUT theres some occasional tweaking that needs to be done /that I highly highly recommend doing in order to have a possibly optimal gameplay experience

Harry Potter 1 basic fixes
Harry Potter 2 fixes
Harry Potter 3 fixes

From my experience, the third game seemed to be the most problematic/unstable to play.
I had countless times when the game just randomly decided to crash to the desktop during the good middle of a challenge map without much logical explanation and for whatever reason, I also "succesfully" managed to glitch out some of the portrait rooms in the game (I could hear it opening but my characters were literally unable to enter).

Now obviously your mileage may vary, as some of these issues I encountered may very well be component /other random factors-specific.

PS: Also in HP2, I noticed that the game physics tends to go crazy sometimes(?) over the choice of video renderer you have setup. Good example being that pressure-pads in challenge rooms dont react as intended, therefore essentially ending in a softlock situation where you cannot progress further.

Playing Quidditch in Philosopher's Stone was the best part of the game IMO

The first two games were the best! 😊❤️

I've been dreaming for a long time about adding "The Philosopher's Stone" and "The Chamber of Secrets" to the Steam ✨
Voted for the second one as it has more content.

I still think the best Harry Potter game was the GBC version of Philosopher's Stone. Unlike the action-adventures released on other platforms, it was a turn-based RPG with levelling and card collecting. I remember at the time it sort of reminded me of the Pokemon games, although I was young enough that I hadn't played many other RPGs at the time.

For some reason I rarely hear people talk about this one, even though it's very much a hidden gem in the Harry Potter game universe.

The second best HP game, and the one I would most like to see released on Steam, is the Prisoner of Azkaban. I liked the Legend of Zelda style dungeons with puzzles that needed to be solved using the various skills you unlock, and the ability to switch between three characters. It was also my favourite book in the series as a child, so I love the overall atmosphere as well.

The gbc port was fine, although some of the tasks it asked you felt so cryptic at best (for example when Snape asks you to find snake skin for potion classes, i spent hours upon hours looking everywhere as a kid to find that bloody invredient haha)

I liked "the Half-Blood Prince" the most, it was interesting to explore the world (Azkaban and Phoenix maybe too), perform additional tasks. I may be confusing something, since I haven't played for a long time. I played in parts 1-6 and Quidditch. apparently everyone is voting for remastered of the old game
and for some reason, you didn't specify the Order of the Phoenix

I have recently played the first two games on PC (I still have the original CDs but no drive, so had to resort to shady places) and it was surprisingly fun. Would be pretty cool if there was an official digital edition, though I am afraid with these licensed games it's highly unlikely to ever happen. I haven't played anything beyond Chamber of Secrets, apart from a couple of hours of coop in Goblet of Fire with my cousin, but I have heard that at least the PoA is pretty good.

Side story: I distinctly remember reading a review of the Chamber of Secrets for Playstation 1 after playing the PC version and being amazed that you get to start at the Weasleys' house. Made me really want to play it but Playstation games were really expensive, so I could not justify having my parents buy me a different version of a game that they already got me for PC, and non of my friends had it. I finally got to try it some time ago when I hooked my old Playstation to a TV out of nostalgia, but got really turned off by the graphics of that thing. The PC version looks so much better.

I cant remember what game I played slightly but I would be interested in them coming. I did choose the 1st game just because if we get them I want them in order. Oh I just looked up the games and wow, it has an old look to it while also being like I could be newish but without the high end graphics

That must be Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It has mouse gestures and the focus is clearly on the exploration of the pretty big map. Very boring for many, but I enjoyed it back in the day.
Might be Half-Blood Prince aswell as I haven't played it and I don't know the gameplay. (Edit : actually Half-Blood Prince is very similar to the Order of the Phoenix, with mouse gestures and exploration, but I read it's a very disappointing game).
The other games are action-focused (Goblet of Fire and Deathly Hallows) or exploration of a very small Hogwarts with parts of platforming to get the spells (the first three).

well, it definitely describes the first three games, starting with the 4th entry, the series became more of a darker/mature themed and went for more realistic graphics compared to the previous cartoon-ish look (and frankly this is the point when the series went down the drain as far as Im concerned).

Now technically speaking, its only in HP1 when you actually had to draw the spell during spell classes to learn it and outside of that, you just aimed your mouse at interactable objects to actually cast it, in HP2 they replaced the spell drawing part with "click on the arrow icon at the right moment where the wand passes it) and in HP3 they completely removed that gameplay aspect and instead immediately throw you in the challenge rooms.

would be nice, but legally its a bit of an interesting situation

from what i remember, EA has lost the rights to publish Harry Potter games, so now the ball is at Warner Brothers. And while there were news of upcoming Harry Potter game coming out, sadly the older titles seems to have been on the wayside since like forever (to the point that many of the older titles may as well be considered abandonware, since you literally cannot buy them anywhere legally).

And its a shame, because i would be ready to throw my wallet at the screen to be able to have a LEGAL digital copy of Harry Potter 1&2&3 on PC
