I am doing some achievement spam stuff one of them being Kartofelka, when you get achievements just being in menu but when you quit, the achievements also do and they won't run anymore, even after restarting.
The dev says to delete stuff in regedit, even suggested to download an older version from the depot, all stuff that doesn't work, is there a trick to it or does a dev have to actually fix it?

Try letting the game run overnight. I don't know how the achievements are written, but I've seen similar issues with other achievement spam games that involve idling.

It might be the case where Achievement #2000 doesn't unlock 1 second after Achievement #1999 unlocks, but after a total of 2000 seconds have passed. That sort of thing where they trigger bases on total time idle.

The pc is in the bedroom (while relatively silent i prefer to have quiet nights, as i already sleep horrible as it is), i can try running it idling along side playing other games maybe, someone mentioned on the discussion board he/she tried 4 hours without them popping up though.

Thanks.

This likely won't work as the majority of the achievement spam games require an active window.

In general the Developer has to fix them, there's very little you as user can do. You'll sometimes find fixes in the Steam discussions for broken achievements through console commands. If the game doesn't have them you're out of luck.

What i was afraid of, there were some instructions to download an old depot, but that didn't fix it (anymore).
The dev did reply to people but he couldn't come up with a proper fix (most likely he doesn't know how).

Thanks.

No, i got a mark on astats for it when i "started" steam, unlocking broken ones because of OCD, then locked really everything i had (even legit ones) these might not be so noticeable but i still try to keep clean this time.

As far i understand you got the achi but its gone. So its not like you cheat.
If not the dev have to look into it, if he/she care.

Astats is very anal about broken/glitched achievements if you use SAM they'll mark you as a cheater. They don't care if you legitimately would have gotten it.

Exactly, and after 1 mark, and something happens again legitimately or not, they don't care they won't remove it ever again, like with certain games r in theory you could use an auto clicker, but i won't. Not taking any chances whatsoever.

Install it on another PC and run it there again :)

I can try that, but if a new pc somehow triggers it, wouldn't it be possible to delete something doing the same?

nah it will most likely work, because on your current pc you have hidden variables that stop you from getting more achievements. But when you install it on a new PC those variables are still not set yet and you will be able to get the achievements you have missed. Had to do the same thing last night for a similar achievement spam game that was badly coded.

That's a good idea, and since the game is light enough, a virtual pc will probably work fine!
