It should be pretty clear, but the region now and the region there may not be totally identical for what I could gather.

I think I'm in the same spot as Mazila before. I tried many guesess and still nothing. What do you mean by "region now and the region there may not be totally identical"? I don't understand it. I tried googling the place, tried another names. How can I know what you mean?

Well, the satchel provided us with one map and a recording, you can find the location but the name isn't written on that map, right ?
So you need another map, and you'll quickly see that the geography isn't strictly identical between here, and there.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'm on the right track and need one more step to do. But to be honest I still don't know what do you mean. Maybe I'm missing something due to language differences. The coordinates decypher are clear to me and the names are on the map. But if you say they aren't written then OK, I was back to google and try even more. But it's a rabbit hole, because I don't know what do you have in mind. Geography isn't strictly identical? You mean cartography? I get that maps differ, but that's not help. I have read all text many times, many details there, no idea if they hint at something or are just a flavour. Some people have found the answer, so I guess everything is there, but I've lost way to much of my time already and not much is left.

That was what I need. I love Fallout, but I know the older ones. My F4 knowledge is... that it is exist :D I guess the puzzle was more aimed at Fallout enthusiasts, but maybe some tiny detail would help to solve this for more people? I guess you could argue there is this line "This puzzle will lead you to Fallout 4", but I didn't know it is part of the puzzle ;) To me guy was Indiana Jones with leather slouch hat xD
I ended solving 2nd part like 6 minutes before the GA ;)

"So, as i was saying, I was patrolling the countryside, and you won't believe me but, right here, right there poof! a portal opened right in front of me. Still in shock I saw a man step out of the portal. He was wearing a leather slouch hat and a duster, and he said to me: "Another settlement needs your help." He stared at me for a few seconds, and again "Another settlement needs your help.". He must have seen i was not really interested because after about a dozen or so occurences, he went back inside the portal. But, mind you' the portal was still there !
I was about to go on my merry way but I noticed a sachel at the bottom of the portal - poor fella must have dropped it, I thought"
"But, you know me, my curiosity got the best and I check the content of the sachel - to bring it back ! Promise !"
"This man must have known that I was pretty curious because there were four things in the sachel:

I know it's quite a busy time right now on SG, but a series is releasing very soon, and that's my celebration for it!
This puzzle will lead you to Fallout 4 and the mighty Fallout New Vegas Ultimate.

Ho space travellers, it seems the portal closed now.
Ah well, don't fret, I was there, went through, and back to give you the explanation of this little hunt.
So, we were given a pen, a map and a recording. The map was from the Boston area, and if you read everything, you could have pieced that the man appearing out of the portal was Preston Garvey from Fallout 4, and as he always does, he wanted you to go help another settlement. For fearing he was being watched, he couldn't give the location outright, instead, he left the recording: a morse code, that once decoded gave: QUEBECWUNFIFE aka. Q15. So, Q15 --> Houghs Neck ?! Nope, "Another settlement needs your help." so we were looking for a settlement at this location: Warwick Homestead was the settlement there.
At this location, you'd have found a postcard from West Virginia, and stamped in Vegas, with some gibberish. The key to decode, was West Virginia, or the location of Fallout 76, and by applying a ROT(76) to the given text, you'd have his message. Preston wanted us to walk and swim across many miles and eventually, we'd have marked three settlements on the map, and in the center of those three, the settlement that needed helping: The Castle. But not really in fact as once there, we found Preston saying that what need helping was actually the world beyond the portal: New Vegas.
So I went in of course, and.... ah well, it'll be for another time, thank you for partaking, happy trails space cats, and to another time and place !
