Accepting a friend request do no harm, and I got a few nice friend who just added me out of the blue sky. Just don't click on random links, don't believe that you won something you didn't enter for :D

To those who may be reading this and don't have Enhanced Steam installed, just do yourself a favor and install it now. When you're checking someone's profile and have any doubt, click the SteamGifts link on the right to open the SG profile of the user. If you trade, you really want to have a look at their SteamTrades profile also. Not much room for confusion if you do this.

The impostor has a trade ban, has used multiple screen names, and doesn't have the site staff (and plenty of site regulars) on his friends list. Compare that with the profile you linked.

The link you posted above is not the profile of the person who scammed you. That is the profile of cg, the site Administrator. Your scammer was impersonating cg. The person who scammed you has a mark from Valve on his/her profile which reads "trade banned." For past history, refer to this thread.
There is no rule against posting a link to the Administrators profile. In the future, if you feel the urge to post information about an actual scammer on SG, please keep the site rules in mind.

Yeah, happened to me too. First I wasn't sure why cg would add me (random member #314873) but when he asked if I could donate a game for a big giveaway I lol'd. Didn't need to check the user, the real cg wouldn't bother asking for games.

I do the same. I have tagged everyone I've ever had on my friendlist. Though recently the ones that aren't on my friendlist.. Their tags got wiped.. Not sure why.

Since I know calling out isn't allowed, I won't point out the user's Steam URL, but if someone who named his steam profile cg adds you, with 5 badges and currently trade banned, don't get fooled.
