This might be weird but I have extreme OCD where, if I can't remember something, I can't think about anything else.

There's been a game I've been trying to place for two days now. I thought that game was RIVE but RIVE turned out to be awesome and not it. The game I'm remembering was a platformer with a robot named the same as the game (not Poncho). The game itself featured puzzle platforming that was kind of slow and clunky.

Any tips?

I want to say the robot had tank treads and couldn't jump, but I'm not 100% sure.

The closest I can find in my library is Steel Rats but that wasn't it either.

Might have been even less known, definitely was an indie game.

Is it (or was) on Steam?

Absolutely and I'm almost 100% sure it's in my library (I have over 10k games, so that might be everything)

Have you tried https://www.lorenzostanco.com/lab/steam/ ? Load your profile, hit the robot tag and then order them by playtime.

Megaman or Mighty No. 9

It definitely wasn't a Mega Man like robot. I seem to remember it being more like a tank control-wise and old school square body and head design.

Gameplay was definitely not even Mighty No 9 good @_@

It's probably not these, but they are the two that came to my mind when I though of side scrolling indie games where you play as a robot.

Planet of the Eyes
The Desolate Hope

Could it be Beep? It was originally called MIGUEL, apparently

Looking through your library, I can only think of these two:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/273240/Gunhound_EX/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/278930/GIGANTIC_ARMY/

If it helps, perhaps you can have a look through yourself - just load this up (will take a couple of minutes) and then filter by tags ("platformer" and "robots" is what I went with).

Based on the Lorenzo Lab steam filters, it looks like I'm merging Beep with this game:

I know your question was solved, but just wanted to say it reminded me of this game that I think was only ever released on WiiWare:
RoBox

Never saw that game but I am interested in it now!

I also think a bit of the Android/iOS game Roboto got mixed in there.

I think what I was thinking of was actually Shiny https://store.steampowered.com/app/496390/Shiny/

Ok, but Hargrave is still pretty cool if you like platformers, and it's free.
