they should probably put that in the coupons faq. it seems reasonable to expect to be able to use a coupon that can't be applied against a sale price against regular price when it's on sale.

the least valve could do is put a note that says the coupon can't be used during the sale instead of showing it and just not letting you select it. thankfully, mode7 got it fixed pretty quickly.

much better than the 50% off i was expecting since getting the coupon yesterday! apparently paul isn't the numbers guy at mode 7 since he tweeted that 50% off 15% off is 65% off

i would have bought frozen synapse prime by now since frozen synapse is one of my favorite games and i got a 50% off prime coupon for owning frozen synapse. problem is, the coupon can't be applied with other discounts and expires nov 21 but the game is 15% for the same period.
i thought i'd be able to use the coupon and have 50% off the non-sale price, basically ignoring that it's on sale, but steam won't let me apply the coupon. is this normal? i've tried buying through a web browser like i normally do and also through the ios app on my phone.
