Dudes, get a decent job. Complete your studies. I do not know how it works in your country, but always be safe about your future, guys! Don't be like me who lives for the moment. You WILL eventually suffer from the consequences. Like I will do. I am sorry. I really hoped to reach Level 6 before this all will happen, but alas, it's hopeless.

Life ain't easy sometimes. The only thing for me to say right now is.. well.. enjoy your lives as well as you can and don't mess up like me.

You have my sympathies - I have been helping a friend out who has got to 50 and basically has not a lot more than the clothes on his back.

He moves into his new apartment in a couple of week's time, and I get my house back!!! He's looking forwards now, whereas all he was doing was looking back and saying pretty much what you are; he still needs an awful lot more - in both material and non-material ways - but he's on his way.

Good luck!

  • you can't get thrown out of your flat anytime soon > takes month, read up on it (if you can't pay rent atm)
  • "a month" should be enough to get yourself going > for a job (even the job-center should be of help)
  • don't let yourself get distracted with any "entertainment/leisure-crap" till you're in a steady situation
  • if everything fails let whoever is close to you help ...

You won't need luck, the loom of doom (a kick up the arse) should be motivation
enough - you'd be surprised how many need that. Anyway - you can do it, just get going!

I hope you can manage to get back up or find a way to prevent it :( I don't know the reason for your trouble, but hopefully Germany has a decent social welfare system and job openings for at least low paying work (every bit helps, even if it isn't a enjoyable workplace).

If it is of any comfort, I kept studying for my bachelor, but I still lose out in jobs to people who don't necessarily have a similar/high level degree, because they simply have more years of experience (though I wouldn't be surprised hat in a few cases I simply did not fit a couple of other requirements). Understandable, but frustrating and demotivating.

So I would add, study something there is always a need for, so potential employers don't get to be so picky ;)

@OP: Serious question: How is it possible to be homeless in Germany? I mean, I myself am from Germany and live here, so I think I know something about my country. You can always either go to the Jobcenter and enlist for HartzIV, they will pay your rent while you are looking for another job. Or you can go to the Sozialamt to apply for Grundsicherung, then they will pay the rent for you. And if you don't have a flat at the moment, you can get a Wohnberechtigungsschein (WBS) from the Sozialamt with which you are able to apply for special flats for a much cheaper rent than normal which then in return they will pay for you.
Sure, if you don't want to get help from the state, you can and will get homeless in Germany, But if you can put pride aside, I don't see nor understand how anyone can be homeless in Germany that has the Deutsche Staatsbürgerschaft. I always wondered how this is possible. Maybe you can enlighten me on that?

I'm disabled, so in a way I can understand... Here, they practically take away all our rights if you are poor or jobless/disabled. Everyone (the people who are in charge) treat us like we are beneath others, and instead of offering a hand up, they try to crush us so we fall. I get more and more upset with each passing issue that happens. I need my medicine to stay above water physically and mentally, but if I lose my medical care, I cannot take anything.

I'm lucky I get anything here. The sad thing is there is no "debt" in the USA. The truth is - all the richest people in my country have all that money that is considered "debt" and more. They refuse to give back to those that gave them the money in the first place (unless it's all counterfeit) in an attempt to have more "status". The more you make, the more you take (in the form of interest). The interest made comes from the poor who are stuck with huge bills. Money debt is enslavement. The rich whip us as we build their towers and pyramids higher and higher. They make all the rules and have all the protections, so they are invincible... we suffer each day. I could go on and on about how sickening it is in my country, but I guess it could be a lot worse. I have to live day to day, since I am removed from the "system" here regularly - never my fault. They do it on purpose to try to destroy the will of poor people and make them give up by taking your crumbs away regularly and surprising you... making you jump through hoops to get it back for their own amusement. There is no oversight, so they can do anything they want, make up shit... and I have to comply or I lose the little bread crumbs I am given.

The poor and sick should be the first in line to make money. They should be the ones that all the rich (and non-profit tax free people that take in trillions a year here) look after. If somebody cannot work, there is a reason. Nobody wants to not have anything at all. That alone is a sickness that needs to be helped. If they make money, they won't be poor anymore! Problem solved! Parity is important, and not how much can you steal from the sick, suffering, and other miseries... Profit off of misfortune is WRONG, but if there is a Judge, I would hate to be them on that day. We, as the sick and the suffering and poor, are a test for those who are more fortunate. If they ignore us, they are failing the test. They have much for a reason, and it is their responsibility as a human being to look after those with less. Why don't people see the truth about the wholeness of things? If I want to make my body strong, don't I need to find where I am having problems, and strengthen myself? Why do countries not realize this philosophy. We are not separate from what we destroy. I can only be as strong as my weakest link.

I won't blab anymore, but I could go on and on about the injustices and lies in my own country, and the false beliefs and propaganda spread here through media, political systems, and other mediums. It makes me sick to my stomach. Time will tell... I will be strong no matter how much I am spit on by my country. I will be the one getting the last laugh.

  • Ranting aside, on a side note, I suggest checking your area for food pantries, assistance programs, and anything else that may be of use.... I wish you well. If I can offer any help or resources, let me know. I can't do much but offer advice, but maybe something can help you out. Depends on where you are at. Some places offer more, and others don't have much of anything. I am only familiar with the US stuff, mostly.

There is/are always some group(s) it seems... in every social structure that gets picked on. I guess the poor here and kind of like the lepers, or the untouchables, for instance. We get swept under the rug, and everyone here thinks nothing bad is going on, that the poor are taken care of, that we have a free country, etc. etc. I won't give up. Anything could happen! I hope this person will find a way to keep on going and get the resources they need!

You mention two things that are actually true.

  1. Those who have money are able to make more in many more ways than those who do not.
  2. Interest is a great evil that sucks the lifeblood out of those who are in debt. This is true everywhere.

Be thankful for what you have instead of lamenting over what you do not, don't let the turkeys get you down, remember that Life owes you nothing, and persevere. The inclination is for things to improve as long as you don't give up.

Yeah, can't beat a system that is built on a failed model, so no sense in trying... Well, maybe one day... it will change. Revolutions happened throughout history and still do! Didn't reread my stuff, but I hope I did not imply that I wanted what they have. I wish for change and more parity among less fortunate is all. If more people and organizations here that have plenty gave to those in need, things could be a lot different. I guess... having the basics would be nice, so people are not even sicker (it ruins my health with the stressors of dealing with worry, not having things that are important to my health - giant snowball). It sort of is lamenting over it, but yeah... I don't want to be super rich. Not having securities taken away regularly would be nice, or being considered guilty of random things for no reason because I am poor. That is all I meant. I am quite glad I am not a crook being protected by the laws. I'd much rather be ill and poor than to have all that horrible stuff plaguing my conscience.

Soo... it is kind of lamenting on a small level - yeah.. I should focus on getting healthier. It's a huge handicap being handicapped. Hard to explain without showing someone. We need a lot that takes money, unfortunately. More than the average person (the profits over misfortunate).

Gratitude is extremely important. Thank you for the reminder! On a grand scale you are correct, I think. You have much wisdom.

There will always be people who have more and people who have less. That is life.

The best system is that which encourages those who have more to directly invest in those who have less. That way, the poorest are able to get on their feet and work their way out of poverty while those investing in them also earn a return. The benefits to both ends of the spectrum are numerous, and the process can be quite efficient.

The worst systems are those where government tries to redistribute wealth by taking from those who have more and giving it to those who have less. It discourages those who are trying to move up the ladder, undermines those who are trying to get out of poverty, and offers many opportunities for abuse at all levels. The kicker, however, is that the majority of the wealth taken from those who have more is wasted in the transfer due to the inherent inefficiency of having a "middleman." This means that those on the receiving end get only a fraction of what is intended for them. The problems inherent in such a system are many, and the sad results may be seen in every country which has adopted such a system.

Regardless of system type, however, Interest is a cancer whenever and wherever it is allowed.

Maybe one day, things can improve here. I will continue to try to improve myself, even if my situation around me does not. I am lucky I haven't totally lost support of people around me though, since they make more per day if they had minimum wage, than I make from assistance in an entire month. If people here are going to waste over half the annual budget on war and military, why don't they use some of that military stuff to just take all the people out that are not getting the proper help. That money is a waste in many cases ($1.45 trillion dollar jets, for instance, or all those stealth bombers that never saw 1 minute of any form of action are just the "known" tip of the iceberg... the black projects soak up most of it). I cannot imagine where all that money could have gone if it were used in peaceful ways instead. "With the vast amounts spent so far on the F-35 aircraft, the United States could have worked wonders, including providing every homeless person in the U.S. a $600,000 home.", mentions one article I ran across. Scary stuff right there, and for what? This plane is broken. >_> Americans agree with this garbage though, I guess, as they let it continue to happen without a care in the world, aside from pseudo-cares created by the press to generate an instill fear in the masses, so they think BS like that is a great idea... l... o.... l....

Tyey can also expend market and profit by rebuild countries where they make war.
Everything is linked and they prefer everybody works to grow economy than assist people in your situation cause they can't spend money to make anything else.

Yep ^ We are not feeding the machine, so the machine doesn't feed us. You're pretty much right on with the Mafia stuff. It's just that it's a more legalized form on one side of the law. There are a lot of ways that people get taken advantage of here at least. Insurances they are forced to have, the college education system here (they rake in ungodly amounts every year), religious organizations and charities that make trillions of dollars tax free, and give very little back overall... Big Pharma, the banking system with their loans, and interest and whatnot, other large corporations that are virtually untouchable, even when common sense goes against their practices, or there are better forms for people that would cost less, be more efficient, and save the planet, and the list can go on and on if I thought about it for a few minutes.

Work in general is a form of pure enslavement. Pay is just not given out based on performance, or the level of difficulty. People with the tougher jobs are at the bottom, while the ones at the top gain the most. Classic pyramid schemes! But the ones at the top make all the rules, and have all the breaks, so there is the big problem. If you have a good king, the servants willingly serve. If you have a bad king, the servants will revolt and want change. We have a lot of bad kings here in the US.

Yeah, that "trick"le down effect. Yet... it's an arid and barren desert at the bottom. I guess the trickles evaporated before they got to the bottom of the bottom. The "investments" in waste planes that could have each homeless person in $600,000 mansions is pretty damn funny though.
It's like a real life twilight zone.
