I can understand if someone creates a giveaway for free game some week or two after. Then I understand that they could be trying to give the game to someone who missed it initially. But giving 7 copies instantly after mass giveaway just shows one thing - dedication to get something out of it. And excuse me for not having any faith in humans, but I doubt that something they hope to get is satisfiction for helping someone out :D

Even the people that gave the game away earlier today before it was marked as free on SG will not get any CV. They will temporarily get CV and then when SG marks it as free, they will back date it so that anyone that created a giveaway after the free promotion started will not get CV. Everyone that created a giveaway before today will keep their CV because the game wasn't available for free at that time.

If you give a game away before it is discounted to around 95% or more, you will get full CV based on the US retail price and you will keep full CV forever. If you give away the game after is is considered bundled (around 95% off), you will get 15% of the full value forever. Anyone who created a GA after the game is given away for free will get no CV.
You will always keep full, reduced, or no CV forever, but the value will fluctuate with the current full retail price. Temporary sales do not affect CV. If the game is $60 when you give it away, your CV is calculated (full or reduced) on $60. Then if the full price permanently drops to $40 in the future, your CV will now be calculated on $40, but you will always stay in the full, reduced, or free bracket based on when you created the giveaway.
The people that created giveaways earlier today temporarily received reduced CV because the game was already considered bundled and steamgifts was not updated to reflect the free giveaway yet. Once steamgifts was updated to mark the game as free, they back dated the free date to the day the free giveaway started so that everyone that created a giveaway after the free promotion started gets no CV. The people who incorrectly received CV today for a free game will lose it because they never should have received it. Everyone who created a giveaway for the game before today will keep their full or reduced CV.

For some odd reason, the game doesn't drop cards, is not on badges list, ASF doesn't recognize it.
Later edit: Fixed. I removed the game from account then used another key, from bandai. Now it shows 6 cards remaining.

If you friend got the key outside the BANDAI NAMCO shop, then there's nothing wrong with it. Normally developers disable the card drops for free keys. If this isn't your friend's case, so you may want to reopen your ASF, idk. Maybe update it.

Actually its because ,you can even get "Real Items" like figures ,Merch etc for like owning games etc .
and if there might be an issue to contact you ,so they will send you via Email like the ID where your can look up where your package currently is .
