You can afk it, but it takes 2 hours before drops start to drop =)

yep, you can launch the game and press alt+tab and wait 2+ hours to drop cards

AFK'ing it works fine here using Idle Master. Note that cards only drop after 2 hours.

I use in when I'm in class.

There's a program called "Idle Master" which can idle multiple games at once.

Surely you have idled since the 2 hour update, so i have to ask if you've noticed anything different all of a sudden?

You can run all games that drop cards using SAM for 2 hour and then use Idlemaster (if you prefer) to drop cards for each game one by one
