Hi, all, I'm asking for help.

I've had a key for a DLC, a Professional Disguise Kit for Gotham City Imposters, for years. I didn't know the base game was dead. I've seen people at at Barter.vg still have this DLC on their wishlists to this day. No one every accepted a trade for it, so I thought I'd give it away on SG.

The GA has already ended. Will the winner be able to activate the key? Am I stuck with an undeliverable GA?

Any advice would be appreciated.

If the key is still valid it will be activated. But doesnt really matter much for the winner if the game is dead :D

Even when it's dead game people entered it. As long as key is valid you can make GA with it. Steam should still accept it.

Not your fault that game for which you have DLC or key was abandoned by the developer and servers are dead. Honestly, most SP games with online functions (like say multiplayer in Tomb Raider) are naturally dead after a year as no one is still playing those. You can still make DLCs GA for them.

Thanks for the supportive comments.

Still, if I'd understood the situation, I'd've put a disclaimer in the GA description. Instead, I copied the description from Steam, which made the DLC sound fun and playable.

It's not good for the win ratio of the winner, to have 19.99 in their win stats, for something they don't get any fun out of.

Maybe we need triple asterisks for unplayable games and DLCs, to nix the creation of those GAs. I

Update: the winner marked it as received. I just hope that was an act of kindness, and not done out of not understanding the situation.
