I haven't even noticed till now, but same issue here. I don't use either of the addons so I guess its probably just Steam being Steam.

I noticed this a few hours ago too, but I just checked again and it was back to normal.
The first time I noticed it, I was using the steam mobile app before.
So I tried that again just now and looked at the activity feed on the app and then on my profile on the desktop and voila -> it's green again.
So maybe steam has a bug and counts the "logged in via mobile app" as game :)

I think that is either a coincidence or there is multiple things causing it. I don't even have the Steam app and is happening to me too.

I have the same, using Enhanced Steam that might do something with it. Happened after I played a game it seems.
I also notice it doesn't happen on the store page(s), only the community page(s).

Hmm, I dunno. It seems a little messed up lately. I've been having the opposite problem. It shows me offline while I am playing. I haven't set myself to appear offline. I am not using any add-ons.

This actually happened to me once too a few days(?) ago, when I played Hitman 2, and if you've played or know the new Hitman games, you have to be "online" to unlock achievements, map mastery( to unlock items), a score etc. So I didn't realize steam set me to offline til I got to the score page at the end of a mission. I was certain I was "online" prior to that.
I don't think it's happened since then but something fishy is definitely going on.

Could be a game that didn't close down properly. I've had this before, where I had quit the game but the .EXE it was still running in Windows Task Manager and had to turn it off manually.
Next time it does it, check your profile to see if it's says "Currently Offline", "Currently Online" or "Currently In-game". In the last case, it would tell you what that game is.

I noticed mine doing that this morning. It only showed the green border on the profile page though, nowhere else. It seems fixed now.

Probably linked to this A new Steam client has been released and will be automatically downloaded. I hasnt logged on for about 15 days therefore, i am not affected clearly. XD Hope you find the cause but its not a big issue which I believe is from the newly released version. Cheers~

Well, I guess we figured out that it must be something wrong on Valve's end. Probably related to the upcoming client overhaul. Here is a community reward that I promised. He is doing some light reading before bed

Obviously, I'm not even playing anything but that mini avatar on community page is always green (like I'm playing). I'm suspecting it might be due to some addons (either Augmented Steam or steam.db addon) but I'm not sure. Any clue what might be going on?
