I totally agree, but then I also think that they should add an option of disabling it when you are creating the giveaway.

Yeah. A option when you're creating a new giveaway, something like; "Allow to multiple entries:" No / Yes

No. This site is meant to be fair, everybody gets the same chance when entering. Also, this have been suggested over 991392439 times now..

If everyone can enter, let's say 5 times, then what's the point?
Comment has been collapsed.
people who really want to win a particular game can enter with all their points, whilst others who really aren't too fussed about whatever game it is or would rather invest their points in another title.
i really don't see everyone spending all their points on one single raffle, unless rockstar finally announced GTAV for PC and it was up on steam, or something. oh, and half life 3.

Something doesn't sound right in this. I have counted only 991392437 times it was suggested. Or you have counted twice two of these suggestions, or I have missed them. Can you check again your calculations?

well as far as the fairness of it...that remains intact. This isn't galagifts, we all draw from the same pool of points. if player a spent his 300 on one giveaway while b entered several giveaways once with the exact same 300 its still 300 points worth of chances, b likely has a better chance of winning anyway

Playblink user? Meh...
What's next then? Pa...."Donating" money for entering 10x?

How about an idea for an upgrade add-on where SG will generate infinite points and also give you AIDS.

Will be implemented as soon as 6 months pass without anyone asking why their CV does not match the stuff they gave away.

deal(so the op just gotta hack the forums for 6 months of downtime, a dds should do it, it practically hax itself when we've got a bundle on and there are just so many bundles these days(that bit in circle brackets should have been in 1337 5p33k but i couldn't be bothered, so just imagine it more obnoxious))

Well, there IS a winner, same as usual, just less points to use in the end for the same amount of GAs.

galagifts is broken at its core regardless
(they turned gifting into a transaction, but then it takes an order of magnitude more points to win than you get from a giveaway anyway. so the poitns for gifts thing drives gifters away and the unprofitibility and inability to break even drive off those who approach it with a "trader" mentality)

Sorry, but it's a useless suggestion. That would only amount to giveaways with a million entries being made by the same thousand-plus group of contestants. So the odds would pretty much remain the same.

Love the intellectual answers! Such descriptive explanations really help to understand the people's opinions ;-)

NO: 1 entry per member, that is as fair as it gets. The more points you have just means that there either wasn't enough games on offer for your choice of entry or you weren't a contributor or you didn't have enough to enter at the time. Allowing more then one entry into the giveaway for the game you want, does yes increase the chance you have of winning it, but then that completely goes against the fact that this is a fair system. One per member is as fair as it gets. So No, big no-no. I agree with every No on this thread. It's not broke, you don't need to fix it. If you aren't happy with the system, then get over it. You have a fair chance of winning already just like everyone else does. Your system is based on having an unfair advantage.

I think it would be a fun update and allow for some strategy in entering for games if SG would allow us to use our points to enter for a game more than 1 time.
For exmample: A game is listed for 30 points. I have 105 points. I'm able to dump 90 points into the listing, therefore entering me 3 times. I'm left with 15 points.
A simple drop down would be provided next to the "Enter to Win!" button letting you select 1 to 10, with 10 being the max allowable entries you can make. If you have the points, upon clicking the "Enter to Win!", you will be entered for the game.
Just a fun idea. Would let us dump our points for a greater chance to win at our discretion.
