No poll this time.

So I just found out that this mobile game I've been playing for a while now, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is doing a crossover collaboration with another franchise with Tomb Raider, even giving us Lara Croft as a free unit. Now, this isn't the first time they have done this and it won't be the last.
And I do know that some game devs have also done this as well.

So I was just wondering how you feel about it?

Personally, I kind of like it at times. Gives other franchises a chance to shine as well even after they have been forgotten. Or maybe to introduce players to them that have never tried them before.

So, what are your thoughts on this?

As long as it doesn't get out of hand I'm totally fine with it.
There are some really nice examples like Ori being a DLC fighter for Rivvals of Aether but also some that basically scream "WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME?!" like with the upcoming Sims DLC for Final Fantasy XV

Sadly, I feel like most of the time, it's nothing but an easy way to get money, meaning there is little or no artistic thought behind the crossover and it's simple a tool to gather two target groups at the same time with little work.
