Steam trading cards, how have they treated you?

I was doing OK, then I kind of lost it and bought a load.

Now level 11, trying to trade for more! ...wait...

I've been able to buy:

Counter Strike: Global Offensive ($7.50, for myself)

Gain Ground ($3, Group giveaway)

Deus Ex Human Revolution ($5, for myself)

Deus Ex Human Revolution Tactical Enhancement Pack ($0.50, public giveaway)

Grand total: $16 (12.32€)

I'm not sure how much I got from selling my trading cards but I guess it's about $5, I have $6.53 in my wallet now that I made extra from steam beta invites :)

what are steam trading cards?

I sold all the invites and cards I had, got circa 13€. Then I bought Robo Keys and Backpack Expanders with the money and unboxed this after 2 tries :)

Earned about 10€, spent all on Steam... oh, wait... that was their plan all along!

Was great, earned 7$, built a set for CSGO, still got 10 card drops remaining!

wanted to sell them for 1$ to get cs go but then found out that they dropped in value to 50 cents each

Made 11$ probably will hold it 'till the summer sale.

Got 4 tf2 ones, sold them all. Bought a key. Used that to buy Red Faction Guerrila.

Quite happy really. I don't need Steam to be it's own game, plus it gets stupid with the limit to how many you can collect.

where do you see/ how do you know if you've gotten any cards?

I got Mini Ninjas,Zombie vs Aliens bundle for 3 cards.I know it's not the best trade ever but it's something.

With my cards I got Metro 2033, Dungeon Defenders Collection and Humble Bundle Double Fine :-) With my beta's I also got another Dungeon Defenders (one for girlfriend, one for me) and The Ship - again 2 copies for me and the girlfriend. I'm happy!

I was very fortunate. I was one of the first accepted into the beta and sold the cards I got instantly. Bought some backgrounds (blue digital camo is my fav so far), emotes, more cards. Save the rest for summer sale.

Excellent, sold many cards and invites for 10 bucks and managed to get TF2 badge and lvl 2 Don't starve badge. Including a 25% off Zeno Clash 2!

Finished a Half Life 2 set, got :gman: and a nice background (which I have kept). Sold the rest of the cards I had and :gman: for about $8.25 and bought 4 TF2 keys which I in turn got Portal 2. I say it is nice so far and I can't wait til they add more games.

Initially sold cards for a profit, then weakened and spent it on cards. Now selling emoticons and backgrounds on the market.
If all goes to plan I'll break even and be at level 10.

lol I plan to get 2 copies of Borderlands 2 :D, one will be for my friend since I sold his cards too :D, the only bad thing I did is I sold my first 4 don't starve cards for only for 0.57€ or 0,73$, I never sold anything on market, so this was an error of a beginner :(, but anyways I plan to get 1x Borderlands 2 copy for free, and another for half price of the sale price :D, also some money will be returned because some value will pay my friend.

Hey I have a question if someone can help, how to get cards on Dota 2 and TF2? as I heard I have to be premium, and to do it I have to buy something from their official store, is this right? these are the stores no http://www.dota2.com/store/ and http://store.teamfortress.com/?

Sold dont starve, tf2, portal ones and got almost $19 :)
