Sometimes games are more expensive than US price here.

oof that sucks, here it used to be more expensive before but after the conversion when they started to use the local currency it all became a lot cheaper, hope they change it for your country

Well, I know it was 80% in April of that year [>>], but not seeing the August one on tracking sites. 2019, regardless.

DMY is a very common date format*

Nah, I did properly consider that (24-hour time and DMY are actually more intuitive to me than their alternatives, what with their making more functional sense than their [primarily US] alternatives), but the site I referenced gave a different start date (12th) and my own post was only made on the 14th, so I assumed that having my post reference both April and August would cover the bases, regardless of what was intended [given that I had gotten the mistaken impression that the stated date was mismatched].

What with the 2 (now 5) AM posting amplifying my usual scatterbrained-ness, I completely failed to consider the matter as thoroughly as I should have. I mean, I did all the basic steps, including checking Tuknar's profile for a listed region to try and determine what date formatting they were using that way, but I failed to properly verify that I was getting the proper date of the promotion (y'know, that single most important detail). Well, my main mistake was in my Googling it rather than checking ITAD, but at the time I didn't feel up to dealing with ITAD's interface. >.>

Well, if nothing else, I guess my confused poking at it still helps in having clarified the matter for anyone solely familiar with MM/DD/YY formatting. :P

Thanks for getting me to take a second look at it. ^.^

I mean, I'm fine with pretending it was simply intended insincerely if you are. :P
Let me just edit in a ":P" and it'll all be good.. >.>

First one was like a cheap resident evil knockoff with some style. Second one i could not even get passt the intro because of the controlls. It just feels so bad/weird.

Do you think this will be on the steam summer sale as well? Don't wanna buy it now and then see it go for cheaper on summer lol.

If you look at the sales history posted by Gothemasticator it doesn't seem likely. If anything, there will be another sale in autumn, but it's likely to be less cheap.

Thank you, I've been actually contemplating all day if I should buy or not. Now I'm convinced I should!

I've alyaws checked in every steam sale event but never saw discounts for these games. I was even subscribed to a topic in community hub where people posted when the game was on sale, but I was not active on steam at that time :/ Luckly now I check my wishlist when I get a steam notification.

Obscure 1 is amazing. 2 is a bad sequel but a good game in it's own right.

Remote Play Together sounds... tempting?

While Remote Play Together flat out doesn't work [for any game] with some friends I've tested it with [and it appears to be a long-standing bug from back when the feature was beta-client-only], for the friends it does work with it seems to both work consistently and without any noticably significant drop in play quality compared to normal online multiplayer. So yeah, if you've got a friend in mind and you haven't had problems with inviting your friend to RPT with other games, then it's a reasonably tempting element.

I got the collection a couple of hours ago!! I believe the NTSC version of the game for the PS2 had some extra content? Not much, really. In any case, I hope I can convince my boyfriend to play these with me, if not then please send help I'm too scared to play them by myself ha. The first time I tried these was almost a decade ago, I think, in the first Xbox, oh wow those were some good times.

Mmm. I may be mistaken (though I couldn't find anything via Google, either), but the only content difference from the PS2 (or other original release) versions of the games should be that they use licensed music [eg, Sum 41] that was stripped from the Steam version. Presumably, this also stripped the region-specific music that the French, Italian, and German versions of the game had, thereby making the Steam version identical to each region. Conversely, in exchange for the lost music, the graphics for the Steam re-release got remastered, making them far less grainy and washed out than the original release [and making the Steam releases the best presented version of the games].

Well, if there were exclusives and you happen to recall what they were, do let me know. Sometimes there are definitely some surprising console exclusives. For example, the PS2's exclusive Half-Life: Decay release [which was the first Half-Life game, but with a seperate, unrelated, more puzzle-oriented (and to my mind, far more fun) co-op campaign (of roughly 4 hours of length) added in]. Well, exclusive offerings of that level of richness are rare, though. Thankfully so- it's annoying enough having fighting games with a single exclusive character per console, it'd be aggravating as heck if more platforms offered full-featured exclusive content.
