Ex Humble Staff have a new bundle website coming soon, they got something cooking:

https://www.digiphile.co/

How We're Different

Built by gamers, for gamers—with integrity at our core
Completely Independent

We're former Humble Bundlers, self-funded, and only answer to our community, not to profit-driven shareholders.
No Overselling

Keys are reserved the moment you checkout. No waiting.
Limited-Time Events

One headline collection at a time, two weeks long or until we sell out, maximum two collections per month. No re-runs.
No Filler

Our headline collections feature the best games of their kind from the past two or three years that haven't been bundled before.
Key Exchange

Trade in keys you already own for credit to get another game on the Digiphile Exchange.
Donation Bonus + Unlocked Charity
Donate to unlock bonus content, including exclusive artwork, and know that 100% of extra donations (minus processing fees) go directly to charity.

First bundle rumors: System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, Perepiteia, Shadows of Doubt, and CTRL ALT EGO.

What do you think?

Update: points stuff, from reddit, who got it from their support page:

How Credits Work

You’ll earn 10 credits per dollar tier the game was originally part of. Example:

A game in the $12 tier = 120 credits

To claim a game from the Exchange, it costs 3x the trade-in value.

Example: That $12-tier game costs 360 credits to claim

Digiphile credit in the Exchange does not expire

Note: DLC is excluded from the Exchange unless explicitly stated.

Edit: NOW LIVE: Someone make the real deal forum post for it with the table and stuff lol!

They are definitely hitting all the checkboxes so that sounds either very promising or way too good to be true but I'll be keeping an eye on it.

The trading system could be a huge or a total disaster. I guess it'll depends on how it works but it could really go either way.

So all in all a bundle game changer or a total bomb? Time will tell.

Sounds interesting for sure. If it really turns out to be great will depend on the price and how big their key stocks will be.

This is not GMG's first rodeo with bundles. I remember when they did them before and they weren't impressive. So I sure wasn't expecting much this time around =)

I'm guessing the rumors come from the exchange page which already has some potential titles available. No way to buy credits so no clue how much actual value these have, but yeah.

Comment has been collapsed.

wow, so you can put your unwanted games in the bundle to the exchange to get other games that you want? that sounds neat.
and it seems the rest of the features are just hb but better. i'm looking forward to the bundle. hopefully the price and game selection suits me.

Permalink

From the way everything is phrased, it's not unwanted games that you can trade in - only purely ones you already have

Turn Steam games you already own into credit for new titles featured in our collections
Up to 3 per collection are eligible for trade-in. (Steam verification required.)

Otherwise they wouldn't ask for steam verification. But remains to be seen once the site is actually up and running I guess :)

aw, that's a shame then. i wish they will also put unwanted games too since there are hardly any cases where i want all games in a bundle.

Then 80% would pick one or two popular highlights. You can't run a bundle business like that. Not for long.

i assumed they will go into coins which is used to "trade" with other unwanted games in other bundle through the exchange (probably at reduced rate), so they shouldn't lose anything at that point.

For a few moments, they had the bundle on the site with the games you mentioned. And a link to this YouTube video, which "confirms" it all (plus System Shock Remake, Blood West, Fallen Aces):

Trade-in Exchange for System Shock: 130 Credits

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Bought in. FYI, credit amounts for owned games different from the amount on their exchange page.
For example, i already own System Shock Remake from this bundle. Their exchange page shows the value of 390 credits for it (if you want it)
But from my keys page i can exchange it only for 130 credits.

Exchange page prices are higher then what you get for it if you own it.

P.S.: BTW, the are some region locks. SS2 Remaster key i got is only for Middle East (my region)

Only missing four games, two of which are on my wishlist. I'll probably get this to support a new competitor to HM, but its not off to an impressive start.

One thing I dislike is that you can't choose how the money gets distributed, with the extras the split is:
Publishers $15.00
Platform $4.00
Charity $6.00
Extras $5.00

I like the concept of trading in owned games, but it needs an option to filter out owned games from the Exchange.

No Paypal support is a bummer, don't like using my credit card on any site. And their currency conversion is a worse deal than what my bank would take.

The redeem key is rather annoying, just show me the key don't take me to the activate page.

I can trade in System Shock (130), Shadows of Doubt (130), and Blood West (90) for 350 points. Rather paltry exchange rate since System Shock would cost 390 credits.
I think I'll hold off on exchanging the games since none of the ones from the Exchange really stand out for me.

The keys will expire om 2/24/2026.

Didn't know Blood West was only worth 90. I thought they were all 130. Sucks, that means you can't even get Sugardew Island for trading in all 3 of those games (which I was considering doing). Makes the bundle not worth buying for me.

It's based on tier level. 10 credits per dollar tier. Blood West is in the $9 tier, so 90 credits.

can someone explain how that's going to be sustainable:

they give you 130 credits for a game that they "sell" for 390 credits. (edit: yeh more I think about it, the less I like how they take a huge cut of profit out of our unwanted games :( )
If I understand correctly, that means everybody needs to sell 3 times to buy one. For me, it means the exchange is going to get flooded with games that nobody has the means to buy.

Or is that in preparation for selling credits in the future, so people can get the game they want in the exchange without buying a bundle?

Excellent choice of games, price is appropriate for this quality. On the other hand - bad trade-in value, no PayPal, not showing VAT at checkout, shenanigans about linking Steam to check which games you are allowed to exchange, short expiration date... Don't know what to think honestly.

More Bundle options? Yes please. I'll be honest, the fact that we only had Fanatical and Humble Bundle for a while felt like this was well-needed.

GMG was something I was hoping for to be different than just a reshuffle of what other bundle websites did as I own all the games they gave. I just wanted something different than what Fantatical and HB gave.

I like the exchange feature. It might affect a bit traders that are impatient and just wanna give away their keys instead of risking it in trades.

How long do I have redeem my content from bundle purchases?
As a best practice, all Steam keys have a 90-day redemption window. After that, unredeemed and unrevealed keys will expire and be returned to the developer. You will keep any games redeemed to your Steam account!
You may be asking yourself, why? Expiration dates and returning keys ensures our developer partners can continue to receive keys from Steam, allowing them to participate in future bundles by staying compliant with Steam's policy on keys. Otherwise, they run the risk of being denied keys to participate in bundles not only through Digiphile, but including other partners.
Book bundle purchases, unless otherwise stated, do not have expiration dates! However, any bundles containing keys may be subject to expiration at the platform's discretion.

Sounds great, but i feel like the trade in system could be easily abused, trade in your game keys, then use them or trade them yourself, unless they have a way to constantly check the validity of the key to decide weather to let you keep or revoke the credits...

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Do you actually trade "keys" though? That would make the least sense on their end. Most likely you can trade only unrevealed keys ensuring someone doesnt redeem or trade it on their own.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

From what I understand, you can trade up to 3 keys per bundle for point you can then use then to buy other games with, but only games you already own can be traded since you are forced to link your Steam account, so games you just don't want but also don't own can't be traded.

I got the impression you could give them any key, unrevealed meaning from Fanatical or Humble, im not sure they'd be affiliated with this at all

What? I assume you're thinking that it's a general marketplace kind of thing. The trade-in is only an option for games from their bundles that you already own.
