Right-Handed or Left-Handed?
Same.. from the start it always seemed a bit strange to me to have to switch the fork from right to left when picking up a knife, so i instinctively learned to use the knife with the free hand, and stuck with that habit.
Also, i can put up a decent tennis game even with my left hand

Boring thought of the day - Never really understood left-handers who switched the knife and fork or why most right-handers eat the way they do.
It seems natural to me to have the fork in your more dexterous hand. When you're young and learning to eat, most kids will start of with spoons and if given a choice they'd grab it with their stronger hand I'd assume. When graduating to forks the fork essentially does the same job as a spoon did and you don't want to miss your mouth so I'd have thought you'd carry on with the fork in your stronger hand. When you introduce knives, I don't think they require much precision or strength to use, particularly if the knife is sharp and it's the fork hand that does most of the work imo.

Same here, im only left handed for writing, when i was a kid i could use both my hands to write but, i got used to write with my left hand, and it stayed that way, now i can still write, but it looks even more shitty than my normal handwriting lol, and my left hand is stronger, and i dont mind grabbing the fork with my left or right hand, for pretty much everything else im right handed \o/

I'm left-handed. In notebooks, I write with my left hand, but on a blackboard, or on walls in general, I write with my right hand. Also I eat with my right hand. lol

Lefty McLeft, exceptions being 2-handed stuff. I swing a bat, golf club etc. just like a right-handed person. Mouse hand is left.
Edit: I also use a knife & fork just like a righty, and while I've never properly played other than messing around for half an hour, I think I'd play guitar right-handed if I took that up.

Do you have to buy special mice, im left handed to but always used right hand for mouse because thats how all computers I used were set up

Nope, but then I've never really bought gaming mice with extra buttons. I just use cheap symettrical-type ones with two buttons and a wheel.
Staying on mice, I don't reverse the buttons which could be an option. I left-click with my middle finger, right click with index.

I'm right handed... But there's one thing that pisses me off.
I use the keyboard for playing my games. ANY game, even fighting games. And I'm from the past of PC gaming, so I used to play using the arrow keys for moving, and the space bar, or Ctrl and Alt for fire and stuff. That was the way to play back then.
But then came the controllers, and the keyboard + mouse setup, and I learned to play with the WASD keys for FPS and 3rd person shooters.
And now, I´m facing all this platformers that you can't configure, and that are preconfigured to play with a controller, or WASD for moving. I can't switch to that.
Devs, please think about your elder gamers.

You may want to consider investing in a controller then. Any gamer worth their salt should have one anyway. I have an oldschool history of gaming like yourself, but honestly I would not want to play platformers on a keyboard. A gamepad is definitely the way to go imo. The exception to that for me is when a platformer also uses a reticule to aim and there is a strong benefit from being able to do so more quickly and accurately with a mouse. The Trine series is a great example of that. In this case I would rather play on a keyboard & mouse setup (despite it being a platformer), which does mean getting acclimated to a WASD (or similar) setup.
As far as the issue with not being able to customize the keyboard controls in some games goes, that is definitely an oversight on the part of the developer. If you are willing to look into it, a workaround solution is using a 3rd-party program that can re-map keyboard functions. AutoHotkey is one that I have used a little and like, although it does take some learning and effort to write scripts to do what you want.

I have a controller. But I'm way more skilled with the keyboard, in particular in fighting games. And every keyboard now has ghosting (exception for the way toooooooo expensive full n-key keyboards), wich is a pain in the ass.
Thanks for the recomendation, I'll try AutoHotKey

You are welcome. I've found uses for it beyond just basic re-mapping too. For example:
I used to play PAYDAY 1 and have a bit of an unusual control setup on the keyboard that I am used to for FPS games. The problem was that due to my setup, I would hit Alt + Space simultaneously sometimes, and with this particular game that would bring up a context menu as if the game were running in a window, and causing it to lose focus, even though it was not windowed and running fullscreen. Clearly bad design and coding on the part of the dev. Anyway, I used AutoHotkey to specifically disable the Alt + Space combination, while still allowing each key press of Alt or Space to work independently.
There have been certain situations where I have been playing a game that has built-in voice communications, but also wanted to switch to using those in a 3rd-party program (like Mumble or Teamspeak for example) while still using the same keyboard key to transmit. So I basically wrote a script to swap primary and secondary transmit keys at will 'on the fly'.

I am mostly right handed but do some things with my left like opening jars and eating.

I legitimately do use both hands basically the same. I favor the right for writing, but my left can still write, and absolutely everything is interchangeable (and not just for simple things, like picking something up or whatever). I often switch hands right in the middle of an action without noticing too. It confuses people even more that way. :p ...It was particularly funny when I had one person who was sure I was right-handed talking to someone who was sure I was left-handed. lol

Right handed since birth, however after Culinary school and years working in the industry I can use my left hand for just about everything work related. My knife cuts are smoother with my right, however I prefer to saute with my left hand and use my right for the spatula or wooden spoon.
If you ask me to throw with my left hand though, you're in for a laugh.

Sure go for it, ask away here or toss me a steam invite. I am usually always logged on but not always at my PC or able to talk.

Please do not vote ambidextrous unless you really are ambidextrous from birth, and are equally skillful with both hands.
