I feel like this is an all-time low, right? If so, thanks for the heads up! 's not bad at all.

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I am referring to the previous offer mentioned by bludshade. I am aware that the IndieGala one does come with Tales of Symphonia. :)

Oops, I'm sorry. Didn't notice the post you were replying to.

Nope, it didn't. If the indiegala one does come with the preorder bonuses, then it's a better deal than the one I mentioned.

Thanks :) I've decided to buy it then. I played ToS on GC, but... well... it was too tempting anyway.

Just bought it, since someone tipped off in IG's announcement on Steam Group that it contains Tales of Symphonia, which means this is the pre-order key of the game with all the extras.

Thanks for the information. I can confirm that the Steam keys redeems SubID 62136 which includes Tales of Symphonia and all the preorder bonus DLCs.

So what's the Godeater part about from this sub? And the Mystic Artes? (I can guess what the Free Skit DLC will do XD) They're not listed separately on the DLC page for this game, and even when checking the steam store pre-order DLC listing, it only shows the 2 costume packs and the weapon pack contents. (As a matter of fact since this seems two be two different ways to list the same DLC, I could still purchase the pre-order DLC from the store DLC list even though I already own it.)

Is that something that is (or should be) added to SG for gifting yet? :)

It's not all DLCs, just all pre-order DLCs.

Ah yes, you are right, my mistake.
Does that mean it's the Tales of Zestiria - Pre-order items DLC that we got everything from or also stuff from other DLCs?

You get a male and female costume pack each, and a weapons pack, which is what the preorder DLC is listed as on steam. You also get 3 other DLC items that I don't see listed on the DLC page so I'm not entirely sure what that's about XD I did look at the in-store DLCs which are mostly costume packs and supplies to make the game easier, so maybe the 3 extras were of the type free on demand but hidden.

Buuuut I'm still relatively new to all this steam business and still finding my way around so I may be wrong XD

Those 3 extras are not Free on Demand. They are included with the regular edition and the pre-order edition. They are hidden from store page and only appear on your DLC list when you buy the game.

Regarding how to understand all these internal info:

  • "app" in Steam is more or less just a "title", can be of a game, DLC, application, video, etc.. Store page with all the information about the game (video, screenshot, description) is linked to an app. It is also used for checking ownership of a game or DLC..
  • "depot" defines the actual files which are served to you when you download the game to play.
  • "sub" (package) is the license for a collection of game(s) and DLC(s), and also links to the corresponding depot. When you buy something on the store, you always buy a "sub" (license/package). Same for when you activate a key you bought elsewhere. The license can also control what languages you can play the game in, by associating only the relevant depots to the license.
  • "bundle" is a collection of "sub"s

Season Pass usually include multiple DLCs which is better represented with a sub, but since you can only have Store page with "app", in many cases, publishers usually make an app ID for Season Pass to put up a store page, then create package (sub) which includes "Season Pass" app and the relevant DLC apps, and link them to appropriate depots.

Same here, Pre-Order Item DLC is just a title, and the actual package being sold is this one, which includes the DLCs and the corresponding depots. However, this Pre-Order Item DLC is not included in the pre-order package, so you can still buy it if you already have the pre-order license, though it will add nothing since you already own the same depots.

Thanks for explaining! I'll bother me in terms of 100%ing that technically I own the pre-order DLC but that since it was packed differently it'll show as missing since I didn't buy that DLC package, haha.

Thanks for the explanation, so now if I want to have all the DLC content I would have to buy all but the Pre-order items DLC, that's good to know!

Wouldn't have bought if it were only Zestiria, but with Symphonia it's a nice deal :)

You could spend a few bucks more and get the humble with Beseria which is said to be a vastly better game although I would say Symphonia is one of the best tales games so theres that.
