Age of Empires IV - Any news?

AoE 4 was never supposed to be released in 2018. Probably we will get the first gameplay footage next month at X018.

Give 0 A.D a go, this is, hands down, the most polished, best looking open source game I have come to play, 17 years in development, still incomplete, but it's a fantastic effort already.

As far as I know, there's nothing new since they announced the game back in august 2017. A new rumor surfaced recently here, on the official forum of the game. The title of the article in the link, according to Google, translates to "Rumor: Microsoft is preparing to show Age of Empires 4" and that will happen at XO18. This may be as newsworthy as any talk you overheard at the grocery store, but the fact that at X018, a global celebration of all things Xbox, Microsoft will showcase new titles supporting mouse and keyboard as they previously announced, those pesky rumors might turn to some real news for AoE fans.
