You could google translations for the lyrics, that's what i do. Still if you love how it sounds, doesn't matter what it says.

I started listening to anime songs then I transitioned to JPOP songs.

I'm now listening to J-ROCK, Visual Kei, Trance and Techno.

I'm more a Kpop fan, but I totaly agree with you.

And maybe you could try to learn a bit of japanese, it can be fun, usefull and maybe impress some people.

Err...because the melodies are good, the language is amazing and the girls voices are beautiful? I mostly don't give a crap what the lyrics of a finnish or an english song say. When I do, I usually don't like them.
