I stumbled upon a deal from GameStop (in-store only) and thought I'd share it in case anyone is interested:

Essentially, people pay $15 up front & get a $5 welcome certificate + 10k points (that can be redeemed for $10 worth of stuff), and then get monthly certificates for $5 that expire at the end of each month. That's $60 worth of certificates. The certificates can be used to purchase stuff like Steam gift cards (lowest denomination is $20 though) & also gift cards from Xbox & PSN. I imagine just at sign-up, for $15 you'd get the 10k points + $5 welcome + $5 monthly = $20, just enough for a Steam gift card.

For myself, I think it's too much trouble to get!

So, my question is: Yay or Nay?

Last time I tried to redeem my $5 monthly pro rewards for gift cards they told me that is not an applicable purchase. I'm not sure if your store will let you for some reason but people should be aware that is not the company standard.

"Valid for $5 off one single in-stock item" they are trying to move the merchandise in their stores.

The clerk at my store actually recommended an Xbox gift card when I said I couldn't find anything to spend my $5 coupon on. This was a few months ago.

Every month I use it on a $20 steam card at my Gamestop. Instant 25% discount on Steam.

Pay some to pay more to save some - even with Gamestop not operating in most countries, this looks like a massive chore. Unless you're a multiaccounter trying some shenanigans, I'd say there are better ways to make $45 ($60 - $15 of initial entry cost) in a month, not to mention a year.

Hmmm it's not working. Maybe it's not working for my country.
