The original game looked really amazing already, I am not sure what this have to offer to warrant the purchase.

I liked the Observer, because I am fan of dark cyberpunk stuff, it was not perfect, I wish the removed the stealth entirely frankly, because the transition between walking sim and stealth was not very clear.

Oh... I thought it was a new game too. I would have probably purchased it if I wouldn't have readed this. Thank you xD. Not a fan of remasters either (if I already own and have played the first one).

i thought buying the same game twice made no point, till i saw people buying the original to get a discount... now that's a new one. 🤦‍♀️

Grey market keys were available for a dollar or two. If you were interested in the game anyway and still hadn't gotten around to it but wanted the updated/added content it makes sense to spend that dollar rather than paying full price for just the new version.

pay $1 and play the old game, it's the same thing.

Not if you want to play the new content it isn't.

It's not as black and white, you know. Do you consider, for example, dark souls remastered also not worth buying if you own original with that logic?

if i have to buy the old game in order to buy the new one with discount? yes, it's stupid.

fellas is it bad to offer a discount to your customers instead of people who never bought it?

This is probably the best time to buy a key on the grey market for people who are interested, since the price will most likely go up and up.

I literally just finished the base game. The gameplay was nothing special, but the visuals and theme made it worth a playthrough.

I guess for previous owners, you can think of it as small content DLC for 6 bucks. I have no interest replaying just to do a few extra cases, but I'm sure someone will.

but the question is, have they done enough to justify the sale. words like 'remaster', and 'definitive addition', have lost all value in the games industry. sure the marketing spiel boasts new cases and mechanics, but that could easily just be 10 new lines of spoken dialogue, and reused assets slammed down inside a copy/pasted room in a game that was previously a locked door. It's a great game, and i do own it and i really enjoyed it, but even at 80% off i doubt its worth the money for what the developers are actually delivering.
