True, but it requires alot of time and effort and you might not get what you want. For me, I don't have time to trade, so its just easier for me to buy the annual plan and know that i will get all the games every month for a good price. I don't want to risk waiting for end of month coupons either. Everyone has to decide whats best for them. For me its still the best bundle deal in the gaming world.

Still have 11 months left from last year...

This month i cancelled for first time and lost the 20% discount... Is not even worth it for the amount of things i get from HB store, becuase i usually only buy when they have price errors.

It's tempting at first, but knowing what will i play... Don't know maaaaan.

Enter the code (HOLIDAY25) to promo code.

Have gift option checked or the page complains about existing subscription.

Once purchase is completed you receive the link in email, just click it and redeem it to yourself (page says something, but doesn't block you from redeeming).

Stacks with your current subscription (end date in mine changed from Feb '26 to Feb '27).

Stupid question probably but can I save months for later if I don't like a specific month? So is it possible for example to use 6 months in 2026 and the other 6 months in 2027?

Confusingly, the website says:

Flexibility to skip a month anytime you want

But the email says:

This price is locked in for 1 year, and this offer will be void if your plan is canceled or paused.

I think the first one is right, as that is how it has previously worked, but they ought to be clearer.

Yea, I guess it's language they forgot to remove for the discounted months, not a discounted year.

Yes it is possible. You can pause whenever you want. Its not an offer that if you pause you will lose it. So you can for example get 3 months in 2026 3 months in 2027 3 months 2028 3 months in 2090 with this offer. You will get November 2025 choice and you have 11 months prepaid at 9 euro per month.

Looks like support's been updated and you can't have more than 12 credits anymore (believe this used to be 24). Might be something to consider if you still have some in the bank and your subscription habits.

Comment has been collapsed.

What if someone buys as a gift and send to themselves but only activates when they have 0 credits remaining from previous deals?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That shouldn't be an issue. Per the support you'll get an error if you try to activate it and happen to go over 12 credits, so you'll just have to wait (which shouldn't be a problem since the links don't expire).

"Shouldn't expire"... With HB recent behavior, they might as well make your links expire. Woudn't be surprising at all.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

What, really? I already bought an offer they made last May, on top of the one I got one year ago, but now it means that you can't hold more than a single annual plan and you must exhaust all its credits before you can buy another.

Well you can gift yourself the plan, where you'll get a link which doesn't expire, and just use it when you run out of credits.

I have mine active until October 2027, so yes it's 24 months max.
I asked Customer Support last time in May and they said the gift links do not expire and you are able to request a refund if you do not activate the gift. They send you reminders once in a while if you have unused gifts, so you don't forget.

Only time you will probably lose out is if the business goes bankrupt and cannot refund anymore, but you can ask them to make sure as well.

Not all months have coupons, depends on how well the bundle sells. It's 100% worth it to me to pay for 1 year and never have to worry about coupons each month or having to wait until keys come back in stock.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

how many months were there without coupons? i think i can recall only 1

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Not sure, but I remember there was a whole period where they weren't doing any coupons and I was struggling to trade for bundles I wanted without overpaying. That was when I skipped an annual deal. I think they started offering coupons again after that but it wasn't every month and sometimes the coupons wouldn't be as good as an annual deal.

I feel like if you're being really selective about which months you buy, it's better to wait for a coupon.. but if you're getting every bundle it doesn't make any sense to wait and you're better off with an annual sub

Permalink

Well, one reason would be that you don't risk games running out of keys before they make coupons available.

Humble kept their price stable for many years. But now with new AAA games costing $80 and increased production cost and inflation, I can't fault them for increasing their price. I usually like 2 out of the 3 headliners, they screwup every once in awhile, but overall no other bundle will give you newer popular games (Atomic Heart, System Shock, No More Heroes 3, etc) for this price. I've been buying PC game bundles for nearly 15 years and i did the math and Humble wins everytime.

Permalink

If I want to skip this month, can I buy it as a gift and then redeem the gift next month, etc?
I remember people saying you could save the gift links for the future.

Are you sure? Reason I'm asking is because the email I got from Humble specifically says "This price is locked in for 1 year, and this offer will be void if your plan is canceled or paused" in the fine print terms section at the end.

I think they just copied it from the 3 months deal where you pay monthly. But usually in a year plan you can freely skip and the store banner also says you skip a month

Permalink

I did some digging and yeah, I think you're right. It looks like you get 11 credits + the current month's bundle, and the credits don't seem to expire no matter how many times you pause. I'll probably go for it. Thanks for the info! :)

My sub end this year and no new monthly or annual offer will be bought.
2 times not because i don't trust HB anymore with all the bad stuff that happend around them in the last 1 - 2 years - for example the "sold out" of keys (overselling), not replacing them for very long timeframes but selling the same game in the shop and in other bundles, the expire dates of keys (partly added AFTER someone bought it), worse support, worse charities, change of the partners handling, IGN+ monthly etc..

Cold cut to fight the game/bundle purchase addiction and to set a clear message to HB that i don't support their behavior with my money.
They understand only the money purse language.

If each one still purchase their stuff they will not change their behavior...
