If you computer won't power at all (no noise, no lights nor beeps) then you have to replace the power supply. Any other problem would at least power the pc.

It won't start, as in, it won't even power on?

It's likely your power supply unit. As in the actual box inside your computer, not the cabling. It could also be that some part of your computer has broken in a weird way, causing the system to short out and refuse to turn on (yay safety precautions).

The fact you haven't tried swapping your power supply unit suggests you don't know enough about computers to fix this yourself, therefore any help we could offer you would likely be wasted. I would suggest getting in touch with a family member or friend who knows how to build computers, or find a local store that deals in computer repair and hope their prices are reasonable.

It's possible that something is broken. What i do if something like this happens is taking my whole pc apart and test diverent components. But you need knowledge for that.

Test your PSU using the old metal paperclip trick, to see if it powers on at all.

Sounds like the prime suspect. Failing that, my money would be on the mobo.

Here is one of quite a few Youtube videos. Haven't watched it, but I assume it's the one I'm thinking of :)

EDIT: Also clicky here for instructions with no moving parts!

So ... if your PC doesnt power on look at your CPU fan if it tries to spin a little or move a little when you try to start you pc from youre start button and if it moves a little its your PSU and if doesn t move its your motherboard :)
