Japanese faction is the hardest to play as tactically, as they have inferior carry-on weapons and must outwit swarms of Americans to win; however they do have their perks: Japanese cannons -- was it precisely that or a similar launcher I cannot recall -- and to a lesser degree, Samurai swords, can be used to destroy the disciplined American lines.
