Hey, saw this on reddit today and thought it might interest you. It's about short (1-3h) games on Steam and all the hurdles between them and "being known". https://howtomarketagame.com/2021/08/09/steam-hates-small-games/
I'm reading it rn, author talks about "rapid development" but all of this works for any shorter game - unless you're a famous indie dev and have cult following who'll buy your game day one and review it asap... which is like 0.1% of devs on Steam.
