Week 32

  • Lonely Mountains: Downhill
-- A fairly hardcore, speed-running game where you get to skid down various mountain paths on your bike while trying very hard not to crash into anything or cycle off the edge of the cliff. Played using the keyboard and mouse as opposed to the recommended controllers+ the fact that I have a bit of a trouble differentiating left and right within split seconds so maybe those two factors are basically 50% of the difficulty right there :P
-- Anyway, I'd likened the game to Distance since they are both as equally frustrating to play but you do end up feeling like a champ once you finally managed to reach the end.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BP6kveeC8fg P/S: If you do end up watching my Distance playthrough, know that I don't give up easily :P
  • Conglomerate 451
-- A pretty decent, retro-style first-person dungeon crawler with turn-based combat and a cyberpunk theme. Not a game I'd recommend buying at full price or if you have little patience for repetitive games mainly because of how grindy it can get, especially if your whole team of battle clones die and you have to level up brand new clones from scratch... and I'm speaking from experience >.< https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etZTY9RVi7o
  • Driven Out
-- Driven Out is a 2D side-scrolling, swordfighting game that can be very punishing (read: hardcore) whenever you get the timing or the swing distance wrong. It's souls-like in a way. Not my cup of tea but if you like taking a beating and then turning that into a win, you might be interested to check this game out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFy8EWVPbEM
  • Dark Miasma
-- Featuring an interesting mix of genres, Dark Miasma will have you carefully consider how you'd like to spend the limited time you have, whether it is to hone your crafting skills so you can craft better weapons and armor or building new relationships with the locals to unlock new skills-honing activities, to prepare yourself for a demonic attack that you know is coming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TdldrvX_44
  • Academia : School Simulator
  • Bonus: Terrorarium - An intriguing yet somewhat casual puzzle game :) Check out its gameplay and its level editor (My level is going to be super hellish!)
  • Bonus: Planet Zoo - celebrating its launch! Unfortunately, the game's incredibly glitchy and for some reason, I wasn't able to unlock the next level of its career mode despite already getting at least 2 stars (I actually got 3 stars instead of just 2) for the previous level. Not a game I'd recommend buying at the moment - wait for a few months and let them patch things up before even considering buying, and hence... playing, the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukL-GBIysbg
  • Bonus: Z Dawn
  • Twitch streams: Dying Light
