Description

Shrug Island is a beautifully-animated, wistful watercolour adventure about connecting with each other through music. Bite-sized, with simple puzzles. It was meant to be the first in a series, but I don't think it sold particularly well, so we'll see. (That said, it's worth a play as-is.)

Thank yous are always welcome, but if you'd like to answer a question instead: how are you coping with self-isolation and the whole pandemic situation? Is there anything in particular you're doing to stay sane?

Thank you for the giveaway-- I've added this to my wishlist.
There are good and bad things about self-isolation. I gain ~60-75 minutes a day from not having to commute to work; instead I work from home 5days/week.
My wife and kids are home all day, so I can go get a hug from them any time of day (they're young enough that they're happy to comply-- the kids that is). There's less gaming time because I did most of that when my wife was out of town or at activities. I miss being able to go out to dinner, and our Spring Break vacation was canceled. The kids online schooling is not very productive and costs me a lot of time. But I am extremely lucky to be healthy, able to work, and financially stable during these times.

At this moment, I don’t feel much discomfort from self-isolation because my studies are already was connected with arriving at home (unfortunately or fortunately).
Now very popular psychological help online. But, if there is no way to use it, there are other slightly easier ways. To begin with, ask yourself: "why do I feel discomfort with this situation?". For example, if you miss communication, invite a group of friends to phone through Zoom, try to watch something together or play. As an option, this is a very fun game that even people far from games, for friends / relatives will like: https://gartic.io/ (it also has support for many languages). If you are bored and lack new hobbies, as one of the possible options, try papercraft (this is the craft of low-poly models from paper, which are not only interesting to collect, but which look beautiful later in the interior). Etc., but, in any case, for all: "here, take this remote warm hug" ~

i'm not really feeling too much craziness about being isolated. I guess I'm patient and optimistic,
so I just deal with it.

Thanks for the giveaway and hope you and your family are safe & healthy!

Playing more games, trying to play less and read / draw more. Here the lockdown is not so severe so as long as you have a good reason to go out ( good reason is almost anything according to the law, it's almost ridiculous) you're free to go. One of the reasons is something alike to "mental or physical wellbeing" and as my GF is affected quite badly by everything that is going on in her life, I'm visiting her on weekends. Still going out in mask, only close stores 1-2 times weekly, still keeping distance from randoms as much as I can, even on the sadly inevitable public transport.
While I really start to feel a lot better mentally and I would love to go, no walks in the city, no exploration, no museums, cakes in a café or stuff like that. It's not great that it does not happen, but it makes me happy that I do want to do these things - unlike in previous years :)

I've basically been self-isolating my whole life, so in all honesty having a proper excuse to stay home all the time has been like a dream for me. Obviously with hundreds of thousands of people sick and dying it's a terrible situation, but as far as myself personally, how I am handling it mentally, this has been so relaxing.

I'm still working, but working from home, so my M-F days are busy as always, which helps. I'm not facing the free time and boredom that I see many people complaining about. My wife already worked from home anyway to begin with, so it has been really nice being able to spend all day together with her. And my cats are loving all of the attention they are getting.

Normally on weekends my wife is the one who wants to go out and I just want to stay home and relax, so she's less happy about the current situation. We've been going out and taking a drive in the evenings once in a while, not getting out of the car or going anywhere in particular, just driving around for a bit to get out of the house and have a change of scenery. Or when the weather is nice, go take a walk in the park or walking down the street on the sidewalks. Keeping our distance from others who are doing the same, of course.

Working from home has been wonderful, I don't have to deal with annoying co-workers distracting me all the time, I can watch TV or listen to music while I work (at the office I can't even use headphones, because I'm constantly being talked to). It is so much easier to concentrate on my work here.

To be honest this whole experience has been somewhat revelatory for me, and I'm considering what my options might be for working from home permanently someday in the future when I leave my current job.

I'm really glad something positive came out of it for you. Just because the general state of affairs is bad doesn't mean we can't celebrate the little things. :)

Good luck finding a job that lets you work remotely! I'm sure there are more options now than there used to be.

Same! Passion projects or hidden gems that just haven't gained any traction or media attention. That's why I like to give them away on here. :)

Thanks, looks like a nice game! To answer your question, I've been able to work from home through all this so I've been doing okay, though today did a grocery run for the next few weeks worth of groceries and had to go to 3 stores to find any chicken at the store, and didn't manage to find any TP (which I still don't understand) but thankfully still have a little bit left. But I've been doing a lot of netflix binge watching in my free time, been rewatching Community. Had to cancel visiting my parents (two states away) since all this stuff started, but it is what it is I guess. While it sucks that we have to all stay at home, it's for the best right now.

My lifestyle was always about staying home anyway, so nothing has changed for me.

Basically just working, watching The Simpsons on DVD (I've watched seasons 1-9 so far and am currently on Season 10), and playing video games. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to spend any time with my girlfriend because of the pandemic.

That's so neat, I think this is the first time someone's won something off their wishlist on one of my giveaways! Usually people don't recognize the games. I hope you enjoy it, it is indeed gorgeous!
