A small New Year's giveaway!
The Majesty of Colors: Remastered is a bite-sized little game (10-15 minutes long) that was originally for Flash. Back in 2008, it inspired a wave of other experimental Flash games that I loved.
Thank yous are always welcome, but you're also welcome to tell me about (or link!) your own favourite Flash games from back in the day.

I liked this one in particular, too!
I think it will be easier to link my favourites from kongregate than one by one :) Favourites
Rogue Soul is an excellent runner game imo, even if I wasn't fan of the genre. Every single Picma game is awesome, especially the multi-coloured pictures.A small talk at the back of beyond is one of the experimental games you seem to like. Diamond Hollow 2 is an excellent metroidvania that is betterin quality than nowadays most Steam games. City Siege, Inferno, Chaos Faction, Endless War series were super fun, replayed them a lot.
And for my absolute favourite - Amorphous+. If only it would have a (maybe slightly extended) Steam version of it. Game is easy at first, but can be super frantic, with awesome "DUDE YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT JUST HAPPENED" moments in it. It's genuinely a masterwork, based on how simple, yet deep the game is.

my same thoughts, and you gave me the chance to add you on Kongregate - before seeing this giveaway I wasn't even aware the game was on Steam too =P Now it's definitely on my wishlist!
Thanks for sharing and most of all thanks for playing on Kongregate, I feel every single time less alone when I find out another player who appreciate Kong =P

I barely used it in the past years, but spent so much time there that I'm genuinely upset that Steam allows games on their store that are sub-par compared to literally 10 year old free to play games. ( Nerdook also has some games on Steam, sadly faring worse than his always 4.5+ scores on Kong)

There was a wonderful little game called Plantworld by Omar el Sawi that I used to play to death and back around the turn of the century. You were a pumpkin with a face, who wore a green bandana and carried 2 uzis that you used to solve puzzles; I always named it Roufas, because I'm a big SaGa Frontier dork. You'd hop around the overworld past all these strange structures, using your latest colored key to open the corresponding door to progress. It was mostly a collection of small puzzles and minigames, but there was something about it that hit that perfect spot. I'd love to find it again, but I've been unsuccessful thus far.

Hi the only member of B&C with degree in literature! It occured to me that you might know intelligent reading or anime forums, could you name some?

I'm flattered you thought of me! Unfortunately, I get most of my bookish/academic manga discussion through friends and social media rather than set forums.
